I am the commish of a 12 team league. I was offered Steve Smith(car) and greg olsen for owen daniels, matt jones and dominic rhodes. Now I accepted the deal because I feel smith could possibly break out of this slump. But I am 8-2 in first place and well on my way to the playoffs.

 

Trade Review is based on league votes...the trade is obiviously fair but it was vetoed. What would be the proper way of handling this? Do I use my commish powers and enter the trade myself?

What is this, veto night? If you, as the commish, allow the league to vote, then you allow them to veto. If you now take that power away after they have used it against you, you would not hear the end of it. Stupid rule, stupid league, stupid results!

Yea but here's the thing......This trade is not a trade where it would be considered unfair, collusion etc. So in the end I as the commish hold the power to basically change it. But people could be voting just to a-holes and veto it or they could be doing it as a stragetic move. Nonetheless I am so mad right now, I just needed to vent.

Nothing is obvious. Nice spelling! If you enter the trade against their veto then you are cheating. I am against veto blocking most trades, but you can't just change the rules mid season simply because they do not benefit your team. You let it go through and you are a cheater.

I think your league has an uneducated person as the commish. You just don't get it! The owners are allowed veto privileges and they have voted against your trade. The trade has been killed and it can't be put through. If you allow the trade then you are cheating. You are abusing your commish powers in order to benefit your already stacked team. You seem to be looking for support here and I can tell you that you won't find it. The people on this site are not cheaters like you.
