wiffleball 4,790 Posted December 15, 2008 Joe Wurzelbacher lashed out Tuesday at former GOP presidential nominee John McCain, the man who made Wurzelbacher famous as “Joe the Plumber.” Wurzelbacher told conservative radio host Glenn Beck that he felt “dirty” after “being on the campaign trail and seeing some of the things that take place.” Recalling a conversation he had with McCain about the $700 billion financial industry bailout in September, Wurzelbacher said: “When I was on the bus with him, I asked him a lot of questions about the bailout because most Americans did not want that to happen.” “I asked him some pretty direct questions,” he continued. “Some of the answers you guys are gonna receive — they appalled me, absolutely. I was angry. In fact, I wanted to get off the bus after I talked to him.” Asked why he didn’t leave McCain’s campaign if he was “appalled” by the candidate, Wurzelbacher said, “honestly, because the thought of Barack Obama as president scares me even more.” While Wurzelbacher was critical of McCain during the interview, he had nothing but praise for his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. “Sarah Palin is absolutely the real deal,” he said. In related news, John McCain refused to endorse Palin for President in 2012. This charlie-foxtrot just keeps rolling on... Me_2006 14 Posted December 15, 2008 It still amazes me that this was the best the Republicans could do. He fought for this country and was a POW. He showed great courage, selflessness and integrity by doing so. He had a solid bi-partisan reputation and was a fairly moderate, sensible Independent for much of his career. ...and then completely sold out everything he stood for to try and get elected. tikigods 76 Posted December 15, 2008 Politics are a dirty business no matter what side you're on. I live in NH the only place a convicted criminal can get elected to the State House...become chairman of the Transportation committee then run Joe Biden's presidential committee. Oh yeah...he was convicted of stealing money from little old ladies in 1994.

Recliner Pilot 61 Posted December 16, 2008 I'm still not seeing the "backstabbing" here. Wif, are you claiming if you disagree with someone on an issue you have stabbed them in the back, cuz that's the only thing you cut-n-pasted. Nice try though.
washers 0 Posted December 16, 2008 ...and then completely sold out everything he stood for to try and get elected. That's how you get elected. People that hold onto their beliefs are considered too extreme in one facet or another, when its the people that sell out to try to please everybody that are the most extreme, trying to do too much. Four More Beers 0 Posted December 16, 2008 That's how you get elected. People that hold onto their beliefs are considered too extreme in one facet or another, when its the people that sell out to try to please everybody that are the most extreme, trying to do too much. Normally I would agree, but McCain sold out to the extremists on the far right when he needed to capture the center.

Including to him. I get the feeling this guy is completly fed up with his 15 minutes. So why is he still milking it? Fock, this retard is 'writing' a book. I'd have more interest in a tome penned by Barbaro. Pretty pathetic that this guy doesn't have a focking job and took the one guy who elevated him beyond a white trash nobody (to a white trash joke) and threw him under the bus. - Pretty representative of the remainder of the GOP base if he thinks Palin is "the real deal", but McCain "appalls him". It's a good thing you've never posted a thread with a misleading title or flooded the board with cry-baby political crap, otherwise boy would you be looking like a big hypocrite. wiffleball 4,790 Posted December 16, 2008 Wait, if 'his' candidate won, isn't this more like gloating? Safe to say that if the guy that you elevated to fame, the guy you let speak at your rallies says: “I asked him some pretty direct questions,” he continued. “Some of the answers you guys are gonna receive — they appalled me, absolutely. I was angry. In fact, I wanted to get off the bus after I talked to him.” ...You just been done backstabbored.
