Ravens 03 0 Posted February 26, 2009 Do any of you even care? =================================================== $25, 573.48 - what Barack Obama's budget will cost each taxpayer Posted By: Toby Harnden at Feb 26, 2009 at 19:06:47 So how much will President Barack Obama's budget cost us? The projected 2010 budget of $3.552 trillion can be found on page 114 of the "New Era of Responsibility" budget here. The US Census bureau estimates that the current US population is 304,059,724. Dividing the $3.552 trillion by that gives us close to the $11,833 that Drudge came up with. ABC's Jake Tapper reports that there wil be $989 billion in new taxes over the next decade. I'm an American taxpayer and the starkest figure is what this could cost me. The latest figure I could find for the number of US taxpayers is 138,893,908 returns in 2007 here. By my reckoning, that's $25, 573.48 each.
Brad GLuckman 519 Posted February 26, 2009 It's easy to throw that number out there to scare people but you are glossing over the main points of everything Obama has already done in just two short months: We all get free healthcare We all get free college The world will no longer end due to Global Warming Those successful bastards who make too much money will finally get what's coming to them With increased funds, ACORN will continue to be able to make America a better place Bus-drivers will be able to live in $800,000 homes, regardless if they can afford it. If they can't then those evil rich sons of b!tches will pay for them So where you see a problem...I see a solution
Strike 6,017 Posted February 26, 2009 I care and normally I'd rant about it. However, according to Newbie I'm just a partisan political hack because I actually do care about the direction of the country. Apparenly, if you don't embrace the Messiah who is going to fix everything, you're just a hack. So I'm not going to say anything. We should all be glad to pay our fair share and don't forget about the extra $12/month you'll be seeing in your check very soon!!!!

NewbieJr 541 Posted February 27, 2009 How much did I spend on a war in IRAQ only to pay higher gas prices? Shhhh. That stuff doesn't matter! We're talking about how bad Obama is now. Get with the program.
Brad GLuckman 519 Posted February 27, 2009 How much did I spend on a war in IRAQ only to pay higher gas prices? You do realize that someone can be both against all this crap and against the war in Iraq right? I know the common response is to bash Bush...but try addressing this topic instead of just giving the standard anti-Bush response You don't like the war in Iraq...ok, but that is a completely different issue. How do you feel about this issue? Or do you feel that because Bush was a moron and grew the deficit....that it's ok for Obama to do it too because he's in a different party? I would support a deficit even this big if I thought it would help short term pump the economy because the best thing we can do for future taxpayers is to fix the problem we're having now. We don't want this th recession to prolong or grow anymore. Unfortunatly, with what I've read about the stimulus bill, I'm not convinced this is the right recipe for short term help. The $25k per taxpayer thing is scary.
corky 0 Posted February 27, 2009 I do. They should wait to fix the problem after I'm dead!
Lackman 0 Posted February 27, 2009 How much did I spend on a war in IRAQ only to pay higher gas prices? About the equivalent of the price of a Starbucks coffee. However, you just bought a Volvo for Obama. Oh, yeah. Gas prices have been going up and up and up since Obama got into office. Tell me what exactly Bush did that Obama isn't making worse. Yer mom 2 Posted February 27, 2009 Whats the point here? Jesus christ. If you dont like it, plan a decent exit timing plan out of the country like I am if the time has to come. All the guy is TRYING to do is right the ship, its not a perfect plan, but what the fock would you do? And dont be fockin bias towards your own set of circumstances like I can easily be as a well off white dude, think of the masses and how to get faggoty, lazy, non innovators to contribute postively to the clusterfock. Im not drinking the kool aid, but at least hes taking a focking HUMAN approach for the masses with this mess were already in (again not my circumstances) and trying to unite people, im waiting for a better solution that doesnt come from left or right field, feel free to suggest. Who would have a better approach right now and how? Were in too deep fockers, a guy like Ron Paul who is correct with his historic approach to economic thinking would unfortunately bury us deeper in this unique set of circumstances we currently face. So do me a personal favor and explain what plan would work best not for you, but the United States in its current slope. Cause I got nothin TIA

So do me a personal favor and explain what plan would work best not for you, but the United States in its current slope. Cause I got nothin TIA Obama has been telling us that we're in a huge financial crisis. Well, his own budget assumes GROWTH in the economy starting very soon: The administration predicted that the overall economy, as measured by the gross domestic product, will shrink by 1.2 percent this year but will grow by a solid 3.2 percent in 2010. That growth would be followed by even stronger increases of 4 percent in 2011, 4.6 percent in 2012 and 4.2 percent in 2013. WTF? Either his stimulus plan is gonna work REALLY well or he's been selling us a pile of dung when he tells us the sky is falling and he's the only one who can fix it. Either way, he's spending way too much money, especially given he's only been in office a month.

At this point if I get an opinion on the shot call, im all in for the gamble, its the only card we have left to play. Its either that or inevitable fail so whats the difference? Plus, its only spending for the current circumstances that the job has brought on him, its not like its going to be a pattern (hopefully), just unfortunate timing. Lets just hope the plan REALLY works. It all sucks either way, but I wont backtrack to cardhouses dropping for the sake of not boring readers

The new deal didn't end the depression, it extended it. propping up failed businesses here will have the same effect While I agree here that letting certain businesses fail would be a blessing, it would be the wrong businesses in this circumstance. We need the credit market to flow again or this becomes a complete desert oasis. Were focked, we have to anti up and at the very least look like were attempting to play ball
