5 places I believe TO might go

Recommended Posts

The Titans make a lot of sense. Fisher has complete control of that team and TO went to college in the state of Tennessee.

I don't think TO could wreck that team.

If he couldn't be happy with Mcnabb, Young, Romo throwing to him, what makes you think he would be happy with Collins?

And Jeff Fisher and him would not get a long. Just because Fisher is a good coach, doesn't mean Owens would listen, he never has and he has caused issues on every team he has been on, why would Tennessee be any different?

Per Rotoworld

Despite rumors that Terrell Owens was in Nashville Friday morning, beat writer Jim Wyatt insists the free agent wide receiver is not visiting the Titans.

Wyatt said yesterday that the Titans had no interest in T.O., and he maintains that's still the case. If Owens was indeed in Nashville early Friday, Wyatt speculates that it must have been simply a connecting flight. With the Raiders and Redskins also vehemently denying interest, T.O.'s dance card looks empty.

They don't even want to be associated with meeting with him. TENN... off the list.

look i listened to mike n mike yesterday who had a guy on cant remember but anyway they said that there are so many gms that wont touch him because his past and his skills are not the same....they said if TO could bring himself to realize he isnt a #1 anymore and accept it then there may be some more teams interested but his skills are not the same as a few years ago.....i as a cowboy fan saw too many times where he cant get space anymore if they are on press coverage there is no chance he is getting open......i wouldnt of minded him being in Dallas Still but seeing the way he got in the middle of the season i am also glad he is no longer here to bring the young offense down.........who ever gets him i am sure he will be on his best behavior for a year or 2 just like here and philly.....good luck to who ever gets him but if not a contender it may be an even longer season

Tampa Bay seems like a logical choice?

The first team I thought of was KC since they just signed Cassel and with a young Bowe and Gonzo still capable, that could make a good complement.

What did Moss win again?

Well, his team went 18-0 and only missed a perfect season because David Tyree pulled off one of the most ridiculous catches in history.

If that's not a winning season, I'm not sure what is. Reality is, though, that teams win. Individuals only comprise a small part of that overall equation.

The catch-22 with Owens is this:

He is too old to be counted on long term. Thus, teams that are rebuilding could only benefit from him for a couple of years, tops. So, since he is such a short term investment, rebuilding teams will (should?) decide to stay away.

He is too divisive to be counted on short term. So, teams that are close to reaching the next level will stay away since they are too close to the next step to upset the apple cart by signing a 35 year old locker room malcontent.

In essence, since teams that are close to reaching that next level are out, and teams that are rebuilding are out, it only leaves teams that don't recognize themselves as either as a landing spot...Oakland and Washington seem to me to be the two teams that fit that bill....

Daunte is the only QB willing to just toss it up to one receiver over and over. It was the only time he was any good. I am sure he wants him. I will go on record as saying I do not want to see TO in D-town

My thought is he offers to play for Indianapolis for next to nothing and he ends up in Indy starting and having a great season.

There are reports going around that the Bills are trying to meet with Owens. Here's the link...

Bills Chasing T.O.?

It started with a link someone sent in from Sal Capaccio of SalSports.com.

Not long thereafter, some other information trickled in to PFT headquarters corroborating the notion.

The Buffalo Bills, not yet a member of the Anti-T.O. List, supposedly are interested in receiver Terrell Owens.

Per Capaccio, coach Dick Jauron initiated the process, lobbying the front office (which is now essentially run by non-football guy Russ Brandon) to consider Owens.

It’s unknown whether the Bills have a realistic chance of signing Owens. Earlier this week, Stephen A. Smith of ESPN (who hosted the Terrell Owens Christmas Special) said that T.O. wants to play for a team with a quarterback who can get him the ball (there’s a shock).

Smith specifically mentioned the Giants, Colts, and Patriots as preferred destinations.

I still can't believe Jerry Jones let himself get talked into cutting him. It'll be interesting to see how Romo performs without him.

And if T.O. did end up on a team like the Bills, it'd be interesting to see what impact that would have on a QB like Trent Edwards in regards to his fantasy numbers.

Agree about teams winning for the most part. But it usually helps to have your best players step up and is what gets them remembered as "winners" (almost always along with a Superbowl victory too.) Moss still doesn't have a ring and was the Pats 4th leading receiver for those playoffs with 2 horrible games. Is Donte Stallworth a winner now too?
