Decoupage - anyone done it?

Recommended Posts

But seriously, anyone done decoupage? It's a process of applying pictures to a surface with glue and stuff, apparently. I am planning on using it for a specific application but I need to know if it can withstand spillage, alcohol and minor friction.

Well, I decoupaged your wife's décolletage with some man batter and a picture of myself naked. Does that count?

Absolutely!

I ruled at it between 1970 and 1974. My parents home is a Museum of History in that art form!! The "Nut Cracker", "Blue Boy", "Black Lab , and spooked Rooster", and "Bye Bye Blackbird" to name just a few.

Well seriously, I want to use it to cover the beer pong table I am building with pictures of myself, my friends, parties we had, etc.... like a scrapbook kind of thing, but I want to know if it can stand up to the use that a beer pong table gets. How much sealer do I need? Do I need to lacquer it as well? Etc... Never done it before.
