bwillingham 0 Posted September 14, 2009 I've got Trent Edwards as my backup and was wondering if either of these two QBs is a btter backup for me going forward. I am hesitant to pick up a rookie, so my gut tells me Flacco. Any thoughts?
OMarcFL 0 Posted September 14, 2009 Back up? Im thinking of making Flacco my Main QB. Matt Schaub stunk it up yesterday for me. Im giving him maybe 2 more weeks.... Then its Flacco Time!
Militia 0 Posted September 14, 2009 I'm hoping Flacco is the real deal. I was really wanting Matt Ryan this year, but missed him in the draft. We have an 8 team league, which keeps 4 players each year. I didn't keep a QB, and drafted Roethlessberger, Flacco and Cassel. I have suffered through Big Ben's fantasy numbers before, but he was the best on the board at the time. I'm really hoping to hit on Flacco or Cassel. Flacco looked really good yesterday, but the Ravens arn't going to throw 40 something times a game every week.
joefry 0 Posted September 15, 2009 I feel that Flacco is going to be a top 10 qb this year. He is going to plenty of easy tds from throwing to those rbs, plus it looks like the lightbulb might be on for Clayton, and DMase is nothing to snooze at. I can see 26 TDs with 3500 yards no problem...he is that good. Plus they were throwing a lot in the preseason and seeing that he was a first round pick, he must be pretty solid from a physical standpoint.
SaintsInDome2006 128 Posted September 15, 2009 Any other thoughts on Flacco? Has there really been a change in offensive philosophy in Baltimore?
We Tigers 71 Posted September 15, 2009 I'm not sure about Flacco. I do think he's going to be very good this year and a worthy fantasy starter--after the second half of last season and the game on Sunday, it's clear he has a solid command of that offense and a combination of killer arm + accuracy--but the Ravens did run an unusually high 84 plays against the Chiefs. The NFL average is closer to somewhere in the mid-60s. He'll definitely be allowed to do more this season, but this might have been his best game of the year. Hard not to start him this week after that performance, though.
