Mike Pettine is the defensive coordinator, a Ryan guy, but clueless as fock when facing Manning. but is he more a figure head, like one of these offensive corrdinators or qbs coaches on a team with holmgren, etc ?? i thought i heard after one of the early season games that ryan called a great gameplan for that particualr offense and "had not lost his touch from his baltimore tenure"...??? Mike Pettine is legit. He was with Ryan in Baltimore for years as a defensive assistant. The Jets had a great opening mindset, pressuring Manning constantly, but they let up. They got scared and tried to ease up, leaving more defenders in coverage. When a defense does that, it's all over. Manning owns you when you back off.
