cbfalcon 827 Posted October 3, 2011 I shot a 79 this weekend. 38-41. Made triple on 15 after a perfect drive to 150 yards out. Complete gag hole. But then I recovered by going birdie from 3 feet, par (lipped out a birdie from 8 feet), birdie from 2 inches. Totally clutch last 3 holes for the 79. It was like I went into video game mode. 5 times now in the 70's. 3 times this summer. Granted, it's only been on 2 courses, but I'll take it. Handicap is down to 11. I think I can hit single digits within a year, as some life changes that are about to happen will probably result in me getting to play more.

I agree - Seemed the number score looked better than the written score. The home Country Club I play is par 73 and plays just shy of 6800 yards. That's with 1 par 3 of 109 yards. I think that's why seeing an 86 didn't seem bad until I looked at the number of bogeys and worse. Anyway. Good for you to be golfing - It's damn near snowing in central PA. Yea, par 70. I guess if I were playing with my pop and his buddies this wouldn't have been too bad. Unfortunately it was with my group - the next highest score was 78. I think I'm still bleeding a bit back there.
