McCoy or Jennings: who to keep? (non-ppr standard scoring)

  1. 1. Who should I keep in non-ppr league?

Recommended Posts

Am allowed to keep only 3 players in my non-ppr league. 6 pt TDs, 1 pt per 10 yds. Am already keeping Jamal Charles and Calvin Johnson. Am debating between McCoy and Jennings (already dropping Moreno and Sid Rice). Will help in return, leave link.

I like McCoy. Here are my reasons:

Philly has a very good offensive line for him to run in front of.

Westbrook had success in the West Coast system.

Kolb will not be a gunslinger...at least early. He'll need to hand off...a lot.

My philosophy is always RB over WR....especially when you have a legitimate number one guy.

I would rather go with jennings, even in a down year he can put up 1000 yards. He is one of the surest bets in fantasy football.

THese guys are pretty close, but I like McCoy better. If memory serves me correctly, Jenning disappeared a lot year. A lot of weapons up there in GB. I agree with tikigods' reasoning too.

I'm dealing with almost the exact same thing. I'm keeping Ray Rice for a 6th rounder, but can only keep 2 of:

Jennings (3rd rd)

McCoy (5th rd)

Vernon Davis (17th rd)

Don't know how I can throw Davis back at that value, so it's down to Jennings/McCoy (.5 ppr). I can probably get Jennings in the early 2nd round in the draft, but then I won't be able to draft an elite QB (Brady/Romo)...

Guess I'm leaning Jennings for now...

Jennings, Rodgers and Jennings picked up the pace last few games of the season, and I think that has a good chance to continue, GB will hopefully utilize Jennings the same way. As for McCoy, maybe I just don't like the Eagles, but I just like Jennings more.

Good Luck

If we go by straight ADP, if you can keep McCoy with a 5th round pick, I think you have to do it as he will in all likelihood be gone by the mid 4th round, so it is good value. Keeping Jennings with a 3rd round pick is a break even proposition as that is about where you get him anyway.

I like Jennings to rebound, and I think McCoy may be being over-drafted so it muddies the waters a bit. I worry about Weaver stealing touches as he did last year and is already doing in the pre-season.

I would go with McCoy. Mainly because McCoy was a good Running Back last year, when he was a back-up, and now he's starting which should only make him better. Also, if Kolb can get the offense going by throwing well, it'll open up holes for the running game, thus giving McCoy a lot of yards.

I like Jennings, but there are a few factors that make me want McCoy more: Green Bay has other good targets for Receiver, which may mean fewer passes thrown to Jennings. Also, they have a good running game, which they will use a lot. One more thing: the Green Bay O-line has trouble protecting Rodgers, which will probably mean less time to look down field to his big receivers.
