One to drop

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Need to drop one to make room for a kicker this week. Who goes? Thanks! (Nonkeeper, 6 pt/TD, 10 yd/pt, no PPR).

- Joe Flacco (my 3rd QB behind Brees & Big Ben. We start 1 QB)

- CJ Spiller (I still think he's a potential breakout, but not getting enough touches now)

- Brandon Jackson (big disappointment so far, but still the lead guy in a great offense)

And to clarify, I currently have NO kicker on my roster. I need to drop one of these guys to make room for one this weekend unless you think holding on to these guys is worth eating a zero.

Get rid of Brandon Jackson. He may have a breakout game occasionally, but as a GB homer, I know that he just isnt worth much in fantasy. Plus if the Pack ends up on the goal line, the ball goes to Kuhn. I dont think you would be completely screwed if you dropped CJ tho, unless Fred Jackson goes down, I dont see him panning out this year. Jackson is playing to well in Buffalo.

Of those 3 and given your situation, I'd say Flacco for sure. Both your other QBs are significantly better (to the point where you should probably never start Flacco over either). A starting RB and a timeshare back have more value.

But why aren't you just dropping your current kicker? I would think that even Flacco has more value on your roster than any kicker. Flacco probably has some trade value than any kicker, so worst case you can trade him later for a top kicker.

Thanks for mine!

drop flacco you dont need 3qbs. rb are hard to come by this year so stud or not its good to have depth.

What he said. Drop your kicker and use Flacco as trade bait. All of those three have more value than any kicker.

I agree...what kicker is worth dropping a QB for?

If you have to drop one I agree with Flacco because of your 2 other options.

Thanks for mine.

I agree try to trade Flacco and drop your kicker.

Any way to make a 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 to make a small upgrade somewhere, open up a roster spot and then you don't have to make a drop. If that doesn't work, I would probably drop flacco, given your situation. keep in mind the packer rb situation is a mess and pretty much non exsistent. Stark is now back in the picture it may be a 3 way rbbc soon.

If possible, definitely try to do a trade w/Flacco to upgrade a position. That said, I'm playing in smaller leagues and trades are harder to do... If that route isn't an option now or in near future, I think you're set at QB and while Jackson and Spiller aren't doing much, they at least provide potential bye-week depth. Drop Flacco and get a kicker on your roster.

Thanks for mine and good luck!

Drop Flaco, Pitt already had their bye week so your starting Brees every week except week 10 where you'll start big Ben at home vs Pats.
