dave32 14 Posted November 17, 2010 Trying to snag up a defense now for the playoffs(weeks 14-16), and was trying to see who might have some great match-ups. I'm trying to get the Falcons for an opening round opponent of the Panthers, but other than that are their any teams, kinda like the Panthers, that you definitely want your defense playing against? Perhaps Miami with their QB injuries? Let me know what you think.
Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted November 17, 2010 Not all teams vs Carolina are a lock (see Tampa Bay this past week) but Atlanta should be fine. Look for decent sack/int numbers + either Arizona (home or away) or Seattle (AWAY).
DamageIncVacc 6 Posted November 17, 2010 Alwyas look for good Sack and Int numbers. The TD are flunky and hard to predict. Look at Arizona. there fantasy points come from TD's. teams like the Raiders or Titans get alot of sacks and int's. Stick with the basics.
mambokings 0 Posted November 17, 2010 Arizona is fool's gold considering their points have been inflated by random DST touchdowns. In addition, their only D-line talent, Darnell Dockett, missed last week's game vs. Seattle (the first game he's missed in 7 years). He said it might have risked his season. He tweeted "Neck, Nerve, shoulder injury is serious as hell."
cavern 70 Posted November 17, 2010 i'm sure you'd have to trade for them, but the steelers have home games in 15 & 16 vs the Jets and then Panthers
Jeepz 0 Posted November 17, 2010 I was eyeing Dallas because they play Arizona and Washington in 15 & 16, but man, I just can't trust them. I've had a hard time trying to decide who to pick up for the playoffs. Right now I'm running with the Chiefs and NYG for the final four games (get to face Cards, @Seahawks, Skins & @Vikes) and I'll figure out the playoffs later. I think the Eagles at home vs. the Vikes in Week 16 could be solid, but they're already rostered. Raiders face Denver in Week 15, but can you trust them at home vs. the Cots in Week 16? bigd2262 0 Posted November 17, 2010 I just picked up Atlanta and Cleveland for their week 14-15 matchups in two leagues where I own Tennessee. Don't want to face IND or HOU offense in the playoffs...
Forsett in her 0 Posted November 17, 2010 i like teams playing for playoff spot, preferably at home. Week 14 Saints home vs Rams and 49ers home vs Seattle. 49ers obiously sketchier since Seattle will also be playoff hunt, but not an offense i'm afraid of. Week 15 like San Diego home vs 49ers. again 49ers MAY be still in playoff hunt but not scary offensively
FeelingMN 273 Posted November 17, 2010 I like Dallas. Arizona and Washington are ideal matchups, and while the Cowboys aren't playing for a playoff spot, they might be playing for their jobs. Indy? I'm not too keen on them, but they get JAX and OAK. Kinda risky. Miami? BUF and DET. Miami is falling apart, and BUF and DET are decent offenses. Like them the least here, but worth consideration if you're desperate.
madd futher mucker 36 Posted November 18, 2010 Here's what I've got - NYJ, TENN, NYG and PHL are solid teams with nice schedules most weeks, but they should already be rostered. While you should already have been collecting some of these, some of these teams may still be available in your league: Wk 11: KC, MIA, NO WK 12: NO, SF, CLE, WASH WK 13: SEA, BUFF, DET WK 14: ATL, NE, TB WK 15: CHI, AZ WK 16: SD, AZ

My other 2 leagues i could really care less only $25. Philly-@ Dallas, @ NYG, Minnesota @ Philly Tenn-Indy @ Tenn, Houston @ Tenn, @ Kansas City I am not going to sweat about a defense at this point though. Week 7 Buffalo put up 34 on Baltimore and Cleveland put up 30 on New Orleans, last week Pittsburgh had -6 vs Patriots, and you look at week 8 where you could say either Tampa or Arizona had great matchups vs each other but dam game was 38-35 So im not sweating over it but did find some good matchups. Week 14- -Tampa @ Washington -Atlanta @ Carolina -Seattle @ SF Week 15- -Buff @ Miami -Atlanta @ Seattle -Detriot @ TB -Arizona @ Carolina Week 16- -Carolina @ Pitt -Dallas @ Arizona -NYJ @ CHI -Seattle @ TB -Detriot @ Miami So i like Atlanta and Tampa Bay
