I'm in sales, not every month looks this good. ;) It is still a lot of tax money that I feel is wasted and misused.

Obviously this month is much higher than usual for you because they are still deducting ss tax.

So he works 80 hours a week and takes home $119k. Thats great!

I only work 40 hours, but if I could take home $60k, I'd be more than thrilled!

"That's great?" If you made $211,000.00, you would have no problem taking home $119,000.00. You would have no problem with Uncle Sam taking 43% of what you made? All of your hard work and sacrifice to your family? You work hard and watch the goverment blow your money on people who don't want to or have to work for anything? I pass by some projects that are being re-built everyday when I go to work. They are brand new houses, not complexes, The people living in them pay nothing for their rent. They are on food stamps, welfare, WIC, and many other social programs, yet they drive a brand new Camry. How is that possible? Because of people like my friend. He drives the same F-250 he bought 7 years ago. He sends his daughters to private schools. There's $20,000.00 right there. And he's saving for college. You work hard, you should be able to send your kids to nice schools shouldn't you? Buy your kids nice presents to try and make up for all the time you spend working to provide the best for them? He'd be thrilled to keep half of what he gives.

In the 50s Uncle Sam would take 90% of what I made. For every million I made I would get $100,000 and Parker would get 25% of that.

We're not living in the 50's. It was a mistake then and it's been corrected. If the goverment came in and put a twenty five percent tax on your cell phone usage?. Uncle Sam: Your cell bill is $100.00 a month? You seem to be doing pretty good. You own a I-Phone so you must be doing really well. The tax is $30.00 a month from now on. You: :

I know, everyone makes so much more money in this place, but here is what my pay check looks like today.

Gross Income = $15,537.91

Fed Tax = 3,538

SS Tax = 957

Medicare Tax = 224

PA State Tax = 474

Local Tax = 255

Right to Work Tax = 12

Remind me why I can't get pissed when I see money squandered away and misused.

Damn, that is more than I get a YEAR!!!
