NPNG 4 Posted September 2, 2011 Drafting tomorrow and the order is unique. It goes as follows: Round 1 : 1 - 14 Round 2 : 14 - 1 Round 3 : 7-1; 14-8 Round 4 : 8-14; 1-7 Round 5 : Same as round 1 - continues this pattern *** 0.5 ppr league, all TDs are 6 points. I've been looking at the back end where I can get a quality RB/WR then go QB. Then when it comes around in the middle of round 3 I can get another quality RB. What do you think? sheadtoo 1 Posted September 2, 2011 Personally I'd want top half...maybe 5,6,7 mostly for 3rd round value. You probably could any way you want from there and get top 10 of RB/QB/WR
Evil Genius 0 Posted September 2, 2011 I want to draft 7th. The first two rounds are like any other draft. Then, I get 3.01. Last in the fourth - ah well, I lose a little from 4.07 to 4.14, but not as much as I think I gain from 3.01 Then, the next two rounds, back to regular, with 5.07 to follow 4.14. Seventh. krizay 0 Posted September 2, 2011 I just had the 7th pick in my 14 teamer and would have loved this draft order. I think!
Cretins 22 Posted September 2, 2011 I would absolutely HATE to have the 1st spot there! The first two rounds would get you the typical 1st and last spots, but then the long wait is typically rewarded by an immediate pick in the third round. Now you have to wait until the middle of the third for your next pick? Yuck! 8th would be pretty annoying too. 7th is by far the best spot, with 6th right along with it. NPNG 4 Posted September 4, 2011 Ended up taking the 7th spot. 14 team league, all TDs 6 pts., 0.5 ppr. Here's what I ended up with. QB T. Romo (Dal) C. Newton (Car) RB J. Best (Det) B. Wells (Ari) J. Starks (GB) B. Jacobs (NYG) R. Helu (Was) WR A. Johnson (Hou) C. Johnson (Det) S. Johnson (Buf) M. Manningham (NYG) TE J. Graham (NO) J. Cook (Ten) K A. Henery (Phi) D. Buehler (Dal) Def Chicago *** Took 2 kickers because we had to. Took Andre and Calvin in rounds 1 & 2 and got Romo at the beginning of round 3 (P. Manning was the only top tier QB left and I wasn't picking again for 28 picks). We start 2 RB and 2 WR and a TE. Running backs are a little weak but one of the Johnson boys should be able to net me a top tier RB, plus I look for Jacobs, Starks, or Helu to all be usable at some point during the season. Axe Elf 0 Posted September 4, 2011 RBs are definitely gonna be a problem, and your QB situation isn't much better (shoulda taken Manning). Still, maybe you can get an endorsement deal from Johnson & Johnson to sponsor your WRs. That is one heckuva trio for a 14 team league!
