Laurence Maroney's Nuts 2 Posted September 5, 2011 Bull crap! Peyton is the machine and the Colts might have the 1st pick of the draft next year. I bet they won't go without drafting a QB high next year. This news came out focking minutes before my draft and I didn't see it until now . Drafted Dallas Clark however I picked JerMichael Finley in the next round . U srs?
PATSSOX 22 Posted September 5, 2011 For what its worth Colts owner Irsay says Manning status has not changed. Here is the article from Yahoo. Colts owner says Manning's status remains the same
PATSSOX 22 Posted September 5, 2011 from CBS: Peyton Manning, QB INDNews: CBSSports.com NFL columnist Mike Freeman said that the initial report on Colts QB Peyton Manning that he will need an additional surgery on his neck isn't true "yet" as of Sunday night. Initially, the radio station 1070 The Fan in Indianapolis reported that Manning needs another surgery and is out indefinitely. ESPN then reported that Manning is seeing additional specialists due to the slow healing of his neck, which Freeman confirms. But Freeman then reports that the Colts didn't believe Manning would get another surgery. There was, however, a serious concern that Manning was not only going to miss the season opener at Houston but the potential was for Manning to miss four or five games or more. As Freeman wrote, "I'm not saying this will happen, but there is a great deal of concern about the progress of Manning's healing. It appears to be going far more slowly than the Colts or Manning are saying publicly." Analysis: Freeman goes on to write the Colts "are preparing for a longer period of life without Manning. They are hoping for the best but now fearing the worst." If Manning is out for Week 1 or longer the Colts would go with Kerry Collins as their starter. If you already drafted Manning, there should be cause for concern but don't hit the panic button just yet until a second surgery is confirmed. In the interim, scan your waiver wire for possible replacements, and some candidates should include Donovan McNabb, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Colt McCoy, David Garrard, Chad Henne, Matt Hasselbeck and Collins, who are all owned in 66 percent of leagues or lower on CBSSports.com. None of these quarterbacks come close to Manning, obviously, but in a dire situation they could help if the outcome is, as Freeman writes, the worst-case scenario. Busted by the Feds 9 Posted September 5, 2011 Latest from Rotoworld via the Colts : " The Colts announced Monday that Peyton Manning (neck) will stop practicing and he is considered doubtful for Sunday's game against the Texans. Panic is now justified. Manning's back is sore, his triceps is weak and his velocity on throws is not there. All this stems from neck surgery rehabilitation which has gone slower than anyone predicted. In a statement, the Colts admitted that "as of now Peyton continues to deal with a complicated neurological recovery, the end date of which is unpredictable." His consecutive games played streak will almost certainly be snapped this Sunday and previous reports that Manning could miss 4-5 appear credible. " I read that last part as 4-5 weeks minimum (it could be more)

My guess is he will have surgery again and that it will be November until we see him, if we see him at all.
shorepatrol 1,737 Posted September 5, 2011 Fantasy football aside, this sucks. Been a big fan of Peytons. Hope this isn't the end for him. http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/211768/manning-stops-practicing-doubtful-for-week-
Kent 228 Posted September 8, 2011 Wait, so, since he practiced the other day he can't at least be put on the PUP list? Why would they let him practice?
