ccook32691 0 Posted December 14, 2011 So, I've been rolling with Antonio Brown and Dez Bryant as wideouts in an ESPN standard league, but the Big Ben injury has me worried about Brown - I'm skeptical about playing him if Ben is out, and it's the Monday night game, which gives me no leeway. Other options are Crabtree against the Steeler defense, Spiller against Miami (counts as a WR, but I don't like the matchup regardless) and Miles Austin, back from injury. I'm considering playing both Austin and Bryant (planning on going with Austin regardless), but I'm also playing Romo at QB, which makes it a pretty all-or-nothing gamble...thoughts? Leave your link and I'll help.

Leave your link and I'll help. If Ben does play, Brown's a no-brainer. If Ben doesn't play, SF will stack the line against the run, so Pittsburgh will be forced to throw. Brown should still get enough short- to intermediate routes to give him some decent #s (not so sure about Wallace, though). In Dallas, you've got Dez, Miles, Laurent, and Witten all sharing targets...plus, Tampa is terrible against the run, so expect a lot of Felix. Dez only had 1 reception for 50 yards and a TD last week in a shootout. He seems like high risk, high reward. Crabtree just isn't very explosive, so Taylor should shut him down. Spiller could be worth a shot, but Miami just doesn't give up many yards or TDs to anybody. I'd expect around 5-7 points from either of these guys. So in the end, I'd look at who your head-to-head matchup is with. If you're favored, play it safe and go with Brown (I'd expect 7-10 pts from him). If you're a dog and need to gamble on a big game, I'd go with Dez...could be anywhere between 3 and 15 pts.
raider92001 0 Posted December 15, 2011 Obviously, if Ben plays, you play Brown. If not, I would go with the DAL guys. They will score a ton against TB.
jackjohn 31 Posted December 15, 2011 I'd roll with Brown. If the TB game gets outta hand, Felix will be running. I just dont think Dallas will be throwing it enough. Thanks for mine!
hannoshb901 0 Posted December 15, 2011 If Big Ben plays you have to start Brown. Other than that go with the DAL players
Larry David 20 Posted December 15, 2011 The schedule is killing you with the Cowboys playing on Saturday and Ben playing on Monday. If you don't know Ben's status by Saturday (and you probably won't) I'd go with all of the Cowboys. It's a gamble but it's better than hoping that Brown has a decent game with Charlie Batch throwing the ball. I don't see Crabtree having a big night.
bwillingham 0 Posted December 15, 2011 I'd go all in on the Cowboys. Bet big to win big! Besides, there is too much of a question mark around Big Ben. Even if he does play, his game will be affected by his injury. Thanks for answering mine.
Vtfanatic 0 Posted December 15, 2011 Similar delimma. In your case though I might go with Austin. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=397721
