Week 5 waiver

Recommended Posts

Not a bad second option, but Hartline is clearly the get here. Third in the NFL in targets with 49. Bess is no slouch, clocking in at 23rd with 32 targets. Hartline also leads his teammate in Redzone targets 7 to 2, so hopefully Hartline will start getting some TD love too :)

What i want to know, is Ryan Tannehill worth a roster spot. He has a couple of tough matchups left (@ NYJest week 8 and @ SF week 14) but other than that nothing too daunting, plus still has 2 games vs Buffalo and 2 games vs NE left, including week 15 at home vs Jaxonville, week 16 at home vs Buffalo and week 17 on the road vs New England. Thats a pretty nice playoff schedule.

And while we are talking about targets and PPR leagues:

Joique Bell RB Detroit has the 8th most targets amongst all RB in the NFL, and is averaging nearly 10 pts a game in PPR formats.

Totally agree. Hartline is the first add no question and the targets are there. Just saying if you take out Hartline's 80 yard fluky td on broken coverage their stat lines are pretty similar.

Hartline 24-375-0

Bess 20-297-0

Harline went for 35 FAAB dollars in my league. Bess was added as a free agent this morning. I might temper expectations on both in non PPR leagues simply b/c that was the first Miami WR td of the season. Remains to be seen.

Well, Ramses Barden has a late-diagnosed concussion so he'll be out this week most likely. If Nicks is out it makes Dom Hixon a solid add for a plug-and-play against Joe Haden-less CLE.

I added him in one league. Considering starting him over Ant. Brown (probably stupid but Hixon is a better bet to score).

I agree. I grabbed Hartline in the one league i could, but he wont start this week. I still look at him as BYE week filler. Just really good BYE week filler. The thing that is encouraging about Hartline is the 7 Redzone targets, which is tied for second in the NFL behind Julio Jones 8 RZT. He is tied with guys named Colston, Fitzgerald, and Roddy White. So, hopefully as Tannehill continues to mature, they will hook up. I actually look at as a positive that Hartline is in the top 5-ish in WR scoring with only one TD. That means he is due, and you cant argue with "due" Its science. Look it up. :)

I already had Denarius Moore and dropped him for Lance Moore. DHB is out right now, DMC not playing up to par and I think their passing game will struggle some. D.Moore may get more yards than Lance but it'll be Lance gettin' the TD's. Also was able to pick up Andre Roberts.

Now that's deep...so deep it's out of the stadium and into the tailgate parties. Kudos for seeing that though.

That's how I roll homie. I like you guys, so I figured I'd drop that bit out there just in case anyone would care to prognosticate. I'll be keeping tabs on his snaps this week as well, though a game vs the 9ers may yield limited output... I'm guessing it was an aberration due to the slinging match-up with the Pats though, tbh.
