HOF RBs if they retired today....

Recommended Posts

Looking back at the drafts, between AD and LT2, first round RBs are awfully light on success.

Deuce-Good, not great

Michael Bennett-Swift, but sucky

William Green-Sucked

TJ Duckett-Sucked

Willis McGahee-Good, not great.

Larry Johnson-Couple great years, fell off a cliff

Steven Jackson-Nice career, not quite HOF quality

Chris Perry-Who?

Kevin Jones-Nice rookie year, got hurt, never got back on track

Ronnie Brown-Injury problems, RBBC

Cedric Benson-Sucked, had a career resurgence in Cincy, but never was great

Cadillac Williams-Injuries, injuries, injuries

Reggie Bush-Never lived up to the hype, having a career resurgence in Miami

Laurence Maroney-Showed flashes, never amounted to much

DeAngelo Williams-Injuries, RBBC

Joseph Addai-Yawn

Sweet memories. I remember having high hopes for Mike Bennett

This whole listing players who've only had a few productive years is simply dumb. IMO these are the only active offensive players (not counting O-Line) that i can think of who will be 1st ballot HOF locks.

Brady

Brees

Peyton Manning

Moss

Owens

Tony Gonzalez

Probable strong chances of getting in with two more productive years: Fitz

I'd add Jason Witten to list of TE's that are headed to the hall. He's currently 3rd all time in receptions by a TE - trailing greats Tony Gonzalez and Shannon Sharpe. He's only 30 years old and is sitting about 100 receptions behind Sharpe - not out of the realm of possible that he catches him.

Haha yes, it was a joke. I dont have that big a man crush on him.

Good, my drunken stupor had my sarcasm radar on the fritz. ;)

The only one I'd consider is Steven Jackson. He's played and produced at a high level on that God-awful crap team for a decade and has never complained about a second of it. I'd vote for him.
