Voltaire 5,202 Posted October 7, 2012 Looks like we'll have an answer here shortly. It remains to be seen how he'd split time with Leshore, but if the doctors put Best back in the game, I expect Jim Schwartz to use him a lot. It's not the Lions that are holding him back. I see him as the Tiki Barber to Leshore's Ron Dayne. And that offense is more Tiki-friendly.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted October 7, 2012 picked up best in both my bigger leagues, no risk, all reward. Detroits offense is about to explode with the guy back in there, he's just too talented. C'mon, it's Bilal Powell in both leagues for Best...not losing anything at this juncture.
the spanker 28 Posted October 7, 2012 So basically you disagreed using exactly what I said as your argument....Brilliant. Some guys never get it even when you break it down to middle school. Fortunately others on here did. Best is well worth the risk considering the cost invested in him. IMHO even in 15/16 man shallow rosters if you play in PPR and you're hurting at RB. SaintsInDome2006 385 Posted October 7, 2012 They just had on ESPN that he has not been cleared yet a year after his concussion. Will have to go to the doctors next week and will only get off the PUP if a concensus of doctors clears him. My opinion ofcourse if you have some bench room yeah what the hey but hes kind of done really. Hes a hit away from being in big trouble . If the guy cant get clearance a year later maybe he needs to worry more about his life and not football. I feel sorry for the one doctor that clears him and he gets hurt again. This really depens on what situation you're in. You have two good reliable Rbs with a solid backup? Great. If you lack a solid backup for the byes or playoffs or if you are treading water at RB2 Best looks better. I made a trade this week and the RB I got was on bye, so I was looking at the likes of Bilal Powell, James Casey, Turbin, Blount, etc. On the WW. If that is the kind of picture you are facing yes you might just want to take a shot at Best. And if you feel good about your RBs but have no good backup for saye after week 7 byes then you mnay wan to take a crack at Best this week, because if he has one decent week you won't have a chance at him. Look at Joique Bell. Saints fans loved him and he has a lot of talent, but he's still just Joique and he has something like the 4th most receiving yards among RBs already - Best is a heck of a lot better than Bell. Voltaire 5,202 Posted October 7, 2012 The league I'm in with picking Best of the WW, I had waited a long time for my RB2. We can only start two RBs and I got screwed over when so many focktards took RB3s in the 5/6 range. So in the late rounds, I threw a lot of RB poo at the wall hoping something would stick and am doing the happy dance that I struck Alfred Morris gold. I got Mendenhall too -my first ever Steeler RB in 13 years of playing FF- which I'm finally seeing right now how that shakes out.
