Giants Fan 85 Posted November 16, 2012 Thank you, so glad Fred is coming back. I wouldn't be too excited about that. CJ Spiller, even though he didn't get any TDs, proved he was a dynamic player, and still seemed fully energized after the game for the interview and the fans were chanting, "CJ! CJ! CJ!" Yeah ... I guess. CJ had nice things to say about Jackson ... but the fans might just mob the stadium and kill all the coaches if they keep running F-Jax at half the YPC that Spiller gets, and losing close games. We'll see. I'm glad that FJax and Choice can spell Spiller, because he's a 1 speed kinda guy. That's what you love about guys like that. Like Darren Sproles or Danny Amendola ... Teddy Bruschi also a great example. He's the nicest guy in the world, but on the football field, when the on switch was flicked ... there's a lot to be said about determination. Some guys have it. Some guys have it and somehow loose it. Fantasy football is about building a team of guys who have "it" right now. Like I have been saying for years ... draft the #1 QB, and find value at WR and RB. Best draft strategy under most scoring systems. The biggest problem is ... there are maybe 3 or 4 top QBs each year. You can't trade for them. Nobody will trade away a QB putting up big numbers. That's why I drafted Aaron Rogers this year. Cheaper than a lot of top tier RBs that I saw as a higher risk. And even though I spent a huge portion of my draft budget on Greg Jennings, I found value. I changed my sig. My tier 1 team is now in my sig.

I changed my sig. My tier 1 team is now in my sig. There are several QBs this year that are immense value as well. Dalton, Freeman, Palmer, Luck, Griffin, heck Manning (I got him in the 8th round and Big Ben i nthe 10th) so I can make a counter argument you don't have to draft a QB in the first round (I never do) to be successful. CJ Spiller has things he can improve upon in his game. The commentators said over and over again he wants to bounce to the outside too often and he took himself out of the game alot more than a future up and coming bellcow RB should. He's an outstanding talent don't get me wrong but FJax is the better GL back and just as good in the passing game. It looked to me like Spiller was on the sidelines every time they got within 10 yds of scoring and Choice was in there. As good as Spiller is, the coaching staff trusts FJax alot and that's why Spiller hasn't dominated carries and I doubt he will ROS.
Giants Fan 85 Posted November 16, 2012 Hey, it's a draft strategy I adopted after I noticed that the Steve Young and later Kurt Warner owners kept winning the leagues I played in. I been talking about it for years ... I used to like to draft TWO good QBs and trade one. That works if you can do it. It's also a little insurance. For instance in one league this year I drafted both Mannings. Originally the plan was to play Eli, but now Peyton is the starter and I have a viable matchup proof 2 headed QB thing going there. These days, where few people keep a backup QB it's even more important that you have a stud QB. Preferably one NOT like Micahel Vick that might get hurt. Djgb13 2,339 Posted November 16, 2012 Regardless im happy with how Spiller played and the numbers he put up. As I said before anything above 10 points is a good day. That being said I was extremely disappointed and confused when Every time the Bills got inside the 10 yard line they would pull Spiller and put Choice in. That was apparently the wrong "choice" because the only TD they had to show for it was a punt return td. They did win so my only guess was since they were ahead they wanted to keep Spiller fresh and not ding him up too much at the goal line

And he's a great short yardage runner. I agree, Choice wasn't getting it done so why not give Spiller a shot.
