Breaking Bad: The final episodes

Recommended Posts

Walter White is dead in every sense... Heisenberg however, is very much alive and really has been freed.

No, he is dead in every sense but the literal.

Literal has a very specific meaning.

I'm gonna hafta go ahead and agree with you on this one. I was trying to think of a Sopranos episode that was better ... and I couldn't.

I loved the Sporanos, but it was never on a par with this show. The only one I consider close is The Shield. Haven't seen The Wire, which seems to be the other contender.

I started watching the last season, now I've caught up on the marathon.

I have to admit that my initial impression of Skylar really hasn't changed.

Yeah, I agree, she's stronger and smarter than I knew earlier.

But, at the end of the day, what pisses me off is her (natural woman characteristic) bipolar nature.

It's like "I hate you, you need to leave", to "I'm totally on board" to "I'm leaving the house and taking the children", to back to "on board" - to hating the guy again. (and I'm leaving out several iterations) It's focking annoying. - Especially because in most cases, there's no seminal moment that triggers these things.

Jesse too, is a biitch. I was hoping it was just the culmination of things, but he was pretty much a biitch from day one. He gets his ass kicked - and threatens to sue, he cries about every other episode - jeesus man, focking nut up.

And BTW - I'm done with the shaky POV camera view that seems to be on every third scene with Jesse.

At this point, there's really nobody left - short of Flynn - that isn't focking annoying.

I could see a "shootist" type ending where Walt vaquishes all the obvious enemies - then ends up getting shot by either someone relatively obscure - or by Flynn.

But Vince Gilligan has been so brilliant up to now, I'd be surprised if I could guess what he actually ends up doing.

I know I sound negative about the show - it's still one of the best I've ever seen. Will be excited to see the end.

And be done with it.

PS - When Skylar made up the whole lie about Walt's gamblin on the fly in front of Marie and Hank - cracked me up to see Walt following the story as intently as the other two. It was like - "Really? Then what did I do?" LOL.
