Breaking Bad: The final episodes

Recommended Posts

Was also glad to see Bill Burr one(likely) last time. Him and Huel make a solid comedic team.

BTW is Catatonic Jesse really not believable? We've seen him in this state before, he doesn't hold up very well to drama. I think seeing the 5m really put what he has done into full circle. Walt is a guy who can move on easily, and Jesse is not. I still don't think he talks, but if he doesn't, then Hank basically has nothing, and we know sh1t hits the fan at some point for Walt.

The ricin is for Jesse. I'm convinced Walt becomes convinced that Jesse flipped and needs to die.

That's my whole point... the whole thing with Ted; her affair, her cooking the books, then taking Walt's money to pay for her mistake, her strong arming Ted to pay the IRS, resulting with him landing in the hospital... Yet she's SO focking scared and judgmental of Walt!?!?!?

###### NEEDS TO DIE THE SLOWEST MOST AGONIZING DEATH IN THE HISTORY OF EVAH!!!!!

Even thought I half-assed defended Skyler her, I have to see I really enjoyed when Marie put the b!tch-slap on her.

The ricin is for Jesse. I'm convinced Walt becomes convinced that Jesse flipped and needs to die.

But the ricin recovery is a year from now, after whatever carnage that has taken place. If he were to think Jesse needed to die, wouldn't it be more immediate?

The more I think of the ricin recovery, the more I think it's merely Walt tying up a loose end. The old "they always return to the scene" that usually gets them caught.

It seems like we still have a two-act play yet to happen.

Act 1 - Whatever happens that a makes Walt a public figure - "HEISENBERG!" (Saul's ability to help Walt disappear is another Chekhov's gun that has yet to be fired)

Act 2 - Whatever brings Mr. Lamert out of hiding, purchasing an M-60 and recovering the ricin.

Jesse won't talk though. Absolutely no way. Actually Maybe. Probably. Anything can happen at this point.

My thinking....Jesse won't talk. Zero chance. BUT, he will be more than willing to let Walt believe he may be talking. Whether it be that he wants to see Walt sweat, is feeling self destructive, or just can't muster up the will power for life to tell Walt otherwise.

Could lead to Walt killing Jesse, then finding out it was for no reason. Which would set off a possible series of events. Unsure on that though.

I had the same thought briefly, but Todd, for one knows of that location. I think Walt wanted a location that NO ONE knew anything about. (When he first pulled off the road I was thinking maybe it was the same wash where they wrecked the RV in the pilot. Don't know if it was, but that would have been pretty cool in terms of full circle/closure).

How great was "The Purloined Lottery Ticket" - cleverly hidden in plain view. Lest any of us start to forget, Walt focking rules. :headbanger:

I was thinking it was clearly the same location from the pilot. But someone else would need to confirm.

Marie may be the only woman on earth more irritating than Skylar. I was praying for the intertwined fall into the edge of the coffee table.

Skylar is a player - IMO, she's graduated and is now right there with Walt, Hank, and Jessie. Bi@tch or not, Skylar is capable and dangerous in her own way - Marie is not - she is weak and annoying.

I usually only watch Breaking Bad after hours after everyone else is in bed. Even if I can catch it earlier I usually don't because I know at some point the family is getting a big dose of "SHUT THE FOCK UP!"

No sh1t, huh? I have my volume set at 80, a commercial comes on and it sounds like a jet crashing into my house.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. I thought it was part of turning 40.

Why the fock are we not talking about how focking awesome that video was that Walt sent to Hank?!?!? I knew that money they took was gonna come back and bite them in the ass.

I was a little disappointed that out of all the things Walt has done to Jesse, that it ended up being Brock, that pushed him over the edge. I was really hoping that he would somehow find out about Jane.

Last night's ep makes me think you're onto something here. Quite possible Jesse flips, just not in last week's interrogation room setting.

Doies he get caught for attempting to torch the house, which then gives him a reason to talk and use his negotiating chip?

Outstanding episode. We screamed no way and laughed through the whole video.

I thought it was interesting that they showed Saul with a radio device detector, and told Walt to get one. I'm guessing Huell dropped a GPS tracker in the money, and at some point Walt will be at the money site, with a bunch of empty barrels, and a radio detector pointing to the GPS that Huell used.

Good episode. I thought Jesse was fantastic throughout - though I still miss "YEAH SCIENCE!" Jesse.

The confession and restaurant scene were incredible. Hank and Marie don't know whether to sh!t or go blind at this point.

What was the full implication of Landry's call to Walt? Is Lydia still in the picture, or is the Todd crew doing their own thing now? I'm guessing she's still in it with Todd as the new cook, and that the continuing poor quality of the meth has something to do with the endgame. Maybe they come after Walt's family to try and force him back into the game, or kill one or more in retribution, and that's why he's buying and M-60 and putting the ricin back in play? Just spit-ballin'.

If Jesse ever found out about Jane(which, the only way he would find it is from Walt telling him personally), I think Jesse would kill himself, and maybe Walt in the process.

The video was great. The restaurant was great as well. Walt and Sky gave them every opportunity to figure out how they could work this out. Then, once they could come to the conclusion that Hank was never going to let up, no matter what it did to the family, welp, there you go. It was quite brilliant, the last thing they wanted to do, but, it was one of those "You're not going to be reasonable, okay, neither will we." Especially since the whole family thing was done either way.

Poor Walt Jr is stuck in the middle. They will have to tell him what's going on at some point. He'll always have breakfast though.

Just finished the episode, and I am stunned at how each episode is better than the last anymore. Jesse just kills it here. Just think about how far he's come as a character and as an actor since season 1.

The resteraunt scene was great and that video makes me almost root for Walt. The guy is just an evil genius.

The video was awesome. I think though, Hank has to come forward to the DEA at this point. If he was the kingpin, how would he have Walt's confession disc? He hasn't done anything wrong yet..if he stays quiet about the disc, he has.

I'm still quietly rooting for Walt as well... Of course it can never happen. What kind of message would that send... but that doesn't stop me from wanting to see him get away with it.

Strange as it sounds, I actually saw that video coming. Someone here (or someplace else) commented that Walt could easily frame Hank. That stuck in my head as things have progressed, and it just made sense. The hardest part was imagining Skyler supporting it. Sure, she has turned Ride or Die it seems, but I didn't see her being willing to destroy her sister.

No part of me is rooting for Walt. Great character sure. But whereas a Vick Mackey, Avon Barksdale, Omar Little, Tony Soprano, all seemed to live by a code and you could see their motivation is based in something decent at times, Walt has never seemed decent. Sure, when the series started he seemed to have proper motivation. But everything that has been revealed since even makes his early motivations seem like a sham.

I'm rooting for Jesse above all. And maybe even Skyler. She catches hell, but she has been in a tough spot. And we would all like her more if she was hotter.

Someone on another site suggested that the first scene next week will be Jesse turning around and seeing Walt Jr. sitting there eating Fruit Loops. That would be awesome.

For this alone, you deserve to die.

I couldn't have a more opposite take on the whole thing... Walt was the guy who never had things go his way, his talents were always under appreciated and for the most part, overlooked. The guy never got any respect... so it's easy to see how it would go to his head. IMO, that makes it totally excusable.

I don't hate Skylar for the fact that's she trying to be the moral compass- I hate her for the whole hypocritical way things went down with Ted.

Hank has always been the straight cop, and I don't think he can stand to not go to the DEA at this point. I don't think his conscience will allow him to stay quiet even though it is likely to destroy him and his family.

I still think something bad is going to happen to Junior ... maybe Jessie does torch the house and Junior is stuck inside?

The failure that haunts Walt was his own doing, his lack of faith in himself and unwillingness to roll the dice and go forward with the company started as a young man. All on him. So while yes, I can see the new found power going to his head, the extremes to which he has taken it are inexcusable.

But in the end, I believe Walt is revealed as only the second most cunning and coniving character. Saul has been at this criminal stuff a whole

lot longer than these up-and-comers.

And did you really say you hate Skyler for being a hypocrite, but find Walt hypocrisy excusable?

This is the GENIUS of Walt's Video - Hank has to make a move now, and they're all pretty bad options.

This show is so good... wow, each episode tops the next - EVERY episode this season has been as good as a season finale.

Brilliant the way they named it "Confessions" and we're all expecting that to be about Jessie with Hank, not Walt.

My only complaint with the episode is Jessie's epiphany at the end... the whole ricin cigarette/Brock/Walt finally clicking - I know that Jessie and Walt's desert meeting set groudwork for Jessie's intolerance of "being played", but it was still a bit of a cheapie/cookie-cutter story route that BB is usually better than.

Am I not remembering something correctly? Do we really know that the failures have all been by his own doing? That wouldn't make sense to me, for it to be written that way. It would make believing that he could be a successful drug kingpin hard to swallow.

I totally agree with you on the Saul thing. I hope the spinoff for him works out.

I guess I'm looking at it from the angle of her being so focking scared of him... but when her neck was on the line, she proved more than capable of committing her own crimes. That and I can't get past her taking the money from Walt, to pay the guy she was cheating on him with.
