He doesn't use it a ton and it will cost $30 a month to add him to my plan. Anybody know much about the rates for the prepaids and how big a pain it is to add minutes and whatnot? I was just looking at the T-Mobile plans. If I'm reading it right you can get a discounted rate by purchasing more minutes, down to .10 a minute if you buy a 1000 minutes. I like the sounds of that. When your minutes are low and you call someone, you get a voice message before it connects that you're low on minutes. As for the 1,000 minutes, it depends on how much your dad talks. These phones are utilitarian smart phones, so do not expect it to be fancy. We have had the current one for 2 years and it still talks, texts and wi-fis as good as it did on day one.
