Mike James

James has been getting the touches. Is he more of a flex play? Will he continue to produce? I was actually considering starting him over Murray this week. I think Dallas may have to throw a lot again. What say you?

I'm not sure about starting him over Murray, but Mia is giving up the most points to RBs.

I'm flexing him in 2 leagues.

For some strange reason, he is still on my waiver wire in my league??

I have a strong RB corp, so I really don't want to drop anyone to pick him up: Charles, Morris, Stacy, CJ?K, Vareen. I've been debating dropping Vareen for Mike James…

I am wondering if James had such a big game against Seattle because they jumped to an early lead and rode him hard… wondering if that will be James best game of the year?

I definitely think he is worth a RB2 start this week against a weak Miami DEF...

Anyone else think they are considering placing Martin on IR to see what they have in James since the season is already over for them?

They should have done it a week ago, when it became evident the Muscle Hamster would need surgery. I doubt they would place him on IR for the specific purpose of seeing what they have in James, as that would intone the team management actually has a plan. Or a clue. However they probably will listen to the doctors.

By the way I see James as a great play against the Fins. I like the kid's skill set and heart, but more importantly I think the Tampa offensive line has played far below it's capability and is vastly underrated. Even Schiano admitted during the Seattle post game pressers that they needed to give the line a chance. I actually kind of wish they'd keep the knucklehead on as coach. Part of the pre-season allure of Martin was the heavy usage in both the running and passing games that Schiano had planned for him. Sure the Bucs got up early, but James still received 28 carries as he repeatedly gashed the supposedly vaunted Seattle Run defense. He also caught a couple passes out of the backfield, which was purported to be Leonard's workload. Schiano will probably stay with a power running game, freeing up the play action for the rookie Glennon.

As for your play... Opportunity is a rare thing in the fleet lifespan of NFL running backs. I expect this kid to seize it very quickly, if he hasn't already. You'd expect Dallas to game plan to run the ball against the Aints, and keep Brees off the field. So I can see the allure for Murray. But I wouldn't trust it, neither Murray himself to stay on the field, nor the Dallas coaches from showing off their self thought genius by calling passing plays repeatedly on first down. I'd go with James.

Trying to decide whether to fall for the hype of James this week. I've got Ellington and SJax as well. Really can't decide which two to go with.

S Jax is garbage. Move on.

Same dilemma....It's a tough call, but leaning Demarco. Though gut tells me Dallas will give up on the run by 5 min into the 2nd qtr and I will kick myself.

I'm starting James over Miller. James gets a ton of touches and the GL carries. Miller is in a time-share, gets pulled at the stripe, and is playing behind a make-shift O Line.
