Cold Ass Honky 3 Posted December 7, 2013 Convince me which 3 of the following 8 players to start this week. (RB2, Flex1, Flex 2 spots open) FYI, this is a PPR league where TE's get 1.5 points per catch. Ryan Mathews Bobby Rainey Montee Ball Joique Bell Stevie Johnson Michael Crabtree Miles Austin Ladarius Green

R8RMick 242 Posted December 7, 2013 It would help to give your own takes on who you're leaning towards and why. If you're still in a position to win the cheese, you're obviously no dunce.
Cold Ass Honky 3 Posted December 7, 2013 At one point or another this week, I have checked the "start" box for every one of them. Can't make up my mind. With bad weather across the country, I'm leaning towards going heavy on RB's. Bell & Ball were both huge last week, but are still backups. Rainey has struggled the past 2 weeks against top run defenses, but has Buffalo this week. Another 160 w/3td's? Mathews has been solid the second half of season, but is gimpy. No room for error for me now. Crabtree appears ready to break out, but is playing Seattle db's. Stevie J. is playing in decent weather (Tampa), but will also be on Reavis Island. Ladarius has looked great the past 2 weeks and gets 1.5 per catch. Yes, I am in line for a lot of cheese. Normally, I submit a lineup and don't think twice about it. But I have played HSFF for 10 years to be in the position I am in today and want to make the best possible . I am new to this site and have seen others receive good advice. Thought I might try. BuschWack 59 Posted December 7, 2013 So TE's get 1.5 ppr and everyone else 1 ppr?

But I have played HSFF for 10 years to be in the position I am in today and want to make the best possible . I am new to this site and have seen others receive good advice. Thought I might try. The first good thing you did was find this board. Lot's of clowns and internet tough guys here, but some top notch insight as well. I've been here for years, and it's greatest attribute has been introducing me to sleeper players and up-and-coming talent. Eventually, one makes their own decisions. But you see names like Zac Stacy, Jordan Reed, Andre Brown, and Ladarius Green pop up, and it leads you in a direction to do your own research on them. Unless the others in your league are perusing this site, you're always one step ahead. I don't normally give advice unless I am making the same plays. Conversely, I will only ask advice from those in the same match up boat. Having said that, I am going with Green over Jordan Reed this week. His usage has been on the rise, and the Bolts are going more with the "12" tight end package.Gates has been banged up, but even if he's playing he'll draw the defense toward him in the middle of the field. Green doesn't snag a lot of passes, but with a 1.5 ppr he won't kill you there. Of course I also rolled with Tate, so I'm no genius. Your match ups are less than optimal, so you really can't make any huge mistakes. Trust your gut, maybe check out the Roto site to see how they conform with your thoughts... Good luck. http://www.rotoworld.com/sports/nfl/football?rw=
BuschWack 59 Posted December 7, 2013 I would go Rainy, Mathews and Green as your safest starts. If Bush can't go, definitely start Joique Bell over Mathews.
BuschWack 59 Posted December 7, 2013 Even if Bush starts, Joique Bell could be a better start over Mathews. Keep an eye on the weather in Philly.

BuschWack 59 Posted December 7, 2013 Starting 3 of the rbs wouldn't be a bad way to go either. Rainy, Mathews and Bell.
Cold Ass Honky 3 Posted December 7, 2013 These are the 3 I was initially thinking of going with. But a tip service I subscribe to is favorable on Montee Ball. They suggest that with the terrible weather, Denver will run the ball like the did against the Patriots. And with Moreno on a bum ankle, and the Broncos splitting carries already, that Ball could be in line for a big workload and short yardage TD's. They just about have me convinced, but I can't decide which of the other three to sit.
FlaHawker 24 Posted December 7, 2013 I'll be on pins and needles until I find out if you win!
ralphster 274 Posted December 7, 2013 Rainey at home v Buf. He'll run them over in a close game. Green v Giants at home. Gets fewer targets but does more with them. Bell v Iggles in the cold. He's built to move the pack in a shootout. Welcome to the site. Best of luck with this tough call.

Cold Ass Honky 3 Posted December 9, 2013 Since I don't believe in horoscopes, voodoos or jinxes, I will reveal ... Manning 35.75 Charles 29.9 Mathews 22.5 Rainey 21.3 Montee Ball 17.7 A. Johnson 28.4 A. Jeffrey 0.00 (plays MNF) Orange Julius 17.00 P. Dawson 17.00 Dallas Def. (plays MNF) Sitting at 189.55 for the week, heading into MNF Sat on bench ... Joique Bell 24.7 (I left for gym at 11:25 a.m. CST. Five minutes later, Bush slipped in pre-game. Had I been home, definitely would have played Bell over Mathews. Beat myself up all day for choosing my personal fitness over fantasy football. Mathews scored TD late against NYG to "almost" catch Bell.) Also left on bench, despite BuschWhack's suggestion, L. Green (0.00), along with Stevie J. (11.7) and Crabtree (8.00). Resisted temptation, despite the suggestion on this board, to bench Peyton and his poor cold weather record. My backup is Roethlisberger. Instead, went with R8RMick's advice to go with my (rather substantial) "gut." Heading into tonight, I am sitting in 3rd place out of 1,200 participants in a HSFF Vegas contest. If Jeffrey & Dallas Def. do well in MNF, could be sitting at #1 by tomorrow night.
