ricanrockers 39 Posted January 4, 2014 Did you watch the Orange Bowl? I think he just put himself as a top 5 pick. Someone's going to move up and grab him. Stats from Orange Bowl 16-227-
Sho Nuff 720 Posted January 4, 2014 He was already top 15 and maybe top 10. Guy is a complete stud.
ricanrockers 39 Posted January 4, 2014 He was already top 15 and maybe top 10. Guy is a complete stud. I would like to see the Jets move up to get him. We have a boat load of picks this year but I don't know how our GM Idzik feels about parting with draft picks.
donkeyjotes 54 Posted January 4, 2014 You guys like him better than Lee? Watkins is a bit better athlete, but Lee seems to have the "intangibles".
stonewall 647 Posted January 4, 2014 I always keep a note pad besides my chair, and take notes on college players as I watch the games throughout the year. Watkins name received a big star by it. On the right team/coach, he could make a big splash in the NFL his rookie season. He showed a lot of grit and toughness last night, as well.

I let nfl scouts and draft and preseason and depth charts take care of those worth looking at for fantasy football. Nice hobby but I can't imagine this helps you in fantasy. Shakey210 10 Posted January 4, 2014 Wtf does that mean? Let me guess I said eyeball a couple years ago and you wrote that in the notebook you have on me next to your playgirl? lol But back to the original topic.. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rams snagged him at #2. Also wouldn't be surprised if they try and trade down to #4 with the Browns and then grab him there. They need a guy like him on the outside. He and Tavon would be pretty deadly.

Nice hobby but I can't imagine this helps you in fantasy. You would be quite surprised, I think, what my little "college notebook" has landed me in fantasy drafts over the years. I also do the same for players in the NFL postseason.....it is amazing how often post-season trends translate into success the following year. I thought every serious fantasy player did this?? Guess I better keep my secrets to myself......after all, with the advent of the internet, gaining those few degrees of separation has become quite challenging. Hilton be drafted next year if he keeps having monster games during the playoffs like he did yesterday.

I don't see a single use for keeping notes on college players who won't be drafted, may be drafted as backups, etc etc.. None. It's a hobby but no relevance to fantasy football. I am not knocking your hobby at all, but I know you gain no more advantage by taking notes on college players than an NFL fan reading preseason reports and watching preseason games to decide on worthy rookies to be drafted. I agree with the playoffs and really just how a player ended the year. Those players tend to keep it going. Those that tailed off are warning signs for me.
