smashmouths@blf 33 Posted June 14, 2014 My advice. Go and spend Fathers Day with her dad. This will show your wife and your kids that you are unselfish even on a day designated for you, the Dad. This is what makes you a great Dad and husband. Trust me, your wife and kids will take note. I've been in your position and as hard as it is, you're doing the right thing by putting your wife's needs ahead of yours even on Fathers Day.
vuduchile 1,941 Posted June 16, 2014 It all worked out fine. I told her I'd do whatever she wanted but it turns out her dad booked a room at the hotel/casino near us last night, so he came over before he checked in. Her dad's favorite dessert is strawberry pie, so we skipped her brother's gig, and took a drive to get his favorite pie in the morning. Then, my wife and sons presented me with a really cool and thoughtful gift, took me to brunch at the yacht club (sans yacht), then for a round of golf. (Is my name Noonan?) Back home in time to catch the last 3 hours of the U.S. Open, have dessert and shoot the sh!t with her dad. See, I told you I was a selfish pr!ck.
