Â I think what happened is that SF became so obsessed with getting WR targets for prescious Kap that Vernon is no longer the focus of the offense. Crabtree, Boldin, Stevie, Lloyd, they're just going all over the field now but not at VD. When they drafted a WR Ellington that should have been the sign, VD was basically a vestige of the Al Smith era and they moved on from him. Oh well. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
