Anyone check out Snedeker's bag this week? He won the ATT in record fashion using a driver that came out in 2010.

 

Sneds' driver is a TaylorMade Burner SuperFast -- a driver introduced in 2010 and one with a current trade-in value of $20.34.

 

New doesn't make it better.

 

people need to realize that 90% of new golf equipment is rehashed technology and/or gimmick. very rarely does something revolutionary come out (in terms of club heads at least). sliding weights (SLDR) is nothing more than pros have been doing with lead tape for decades.

 

watch some of the "whats int he bag videos" and many people would be surprised at how many "older" clubs are in pros bags. Plus a lot of the new stuff they throw in there is only if they are comfortable with it and because of their sponsorship.

Totally agree...... As is usually the case - follow the money. If professionals weren't getting paid hundreds of thousands to promote and play gear by the equipment giants - they'd prolly rarely change at all.
