Belichick was turning the Browns into a respectable team - he took a lot of heat from the media when he benched local hero Kosar in favor of Vinny T.

So, the media still hated him in CLE, the only difference really was that ownership (Modell) was not committed to winning - moving the Browns mid-season was a death sentence for the football operations.

Yeah, Joey Galloway and Brandon Lloyd were a couple of other busts. It takes a certain amount of smarts to play receiver with the patriots and Brady won't throw to you unless he trusts that you will run the routes correctly. Johnson, Galloway and Lloyd were on the tail end of their careers as well. Moss by the way was called the "smartest receiver he has ever been around" by Belichick.

 

Lloyd was a bust? 74/911/4 is a pretty good season.
