Mark91G 13 Posted July 5, 2017 Guys need some help with my keeper, I took over this team for the last 4 weeks of the season and made a few good moves but need help with who to keep going into this season. Kenny Britt Dez Bryant Mark Ingram Brandon Marshall Tom Brady Doug Martin Travis Kelce D.Freeman Todd Gurley Jay Ajayi Tyrell Williams Dak Prescott the names who jump out to me are freeman , kelce ( TE can be better that your WR1) Ajayi and gurley but Doug might come back strong this season and I could also lock in QB1 brady and save a later pick I get 1 keeper and its costs you nothing & its in a standard scoring league - 1pt for every 10 yards & 6pt TD any advice would be great thanks

Ajayi is probably the best RB to keep. Freeman is also good, but splits carries with Tevin Coleman and that makes him slightly more risky than Ajayi. Martin is a good player, but I wouldnt keep him just because the fantasy world seems to be down on him and you can probably re-acquire him at the draft table at a reasonable price relative to the cost of actually keeping him. Ditto for Kelce. I like him, but most leagues tend to undervalue the TE position, so you can probably draft or acquire him for a relatively cheaper price than it would cost you to keep him. When I speak of this, I treat the keeper as if it's a first round pick. and then treat the first round pick as if it were a second round pick (as if in redraft) this will allow you to better evaluate who to keep and to place relative values up. if this were a redraft, Freeman, Dez, and AJayi would probably all be picked ahead of Kelce and Martin. Based on this alone, I'd eliminate Kelce and Martin if you wanna keep a WR, you may want to consider Dez Bryant. he's the best WR you have. I do think the better move is to keep one of your RB, but you at least want to consider this option as a plan B or C. Good Luck.
polecatt 404 Posted July 5, 2017 I would take whichever RB you like best out of Gurley, Freeman, and Ajayi They will be a clear starter but also pretty good trade bait and value Let's you build your own team for the future
Ray_T 593 Posted July 5, 2017 I would take whichever RB you like best out of Gurley, Freeman, and Ajayi They will be a clear starter but also pretty good trade bait and value Let's you build your own team for the future I think that's the general concensus. Honestly I'm not overly pumped about any of them. for trade value, Freeman is probably the guy. I think Ajayi's will be somewhat similar to Freemans and because of Gurley's poor season last year, both backs will likely be worth more in trade than Gurley. That being said, I value Ajayi more than Freeman because he doesnt have Tevin Coleman poaching carries. That's my opinion, but Freeman isnt a bad choice either. he's more of a proven commodity. so if keeping the player, I'd take Ajayi, if trading him away, I'd take Freeman as I think you will find more buyers for him.
