naomi 343 Posted June 28, 2018 Have them, use them during Winter, because they are concealed outfit wise then. Plus my legs ache more when it's cold. And I'm 75.
Cdub100 3,384 Posted June 28, 2018 I use them for races any longer than a 10k Nike did a flawed study (IMHO) where they said compression socks don't work but the study focused on short races when the socks are made for, as you said when ou're on your feet all day. titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted June 28, 2018 I used them when I worked at Waffle House, standing on concrete all day. Good stuff. Now I only wear them on long flights. My mother had a pulmonary embolism after a long flight once, so she always hounds me about it. I dont really believe theres much validity to that defense, but I humor her. The risk for clots increases on flights greater than 8 hours. Compressive stockings reduce that risk slightly, but so would getting up and walking a couple times.
