Maybe the media thinks it could have been his lover. Boy, wouldn't they love that one. They could call it a hate crime and call for banning guns all in the same article.

But several people on this here bored have said that a baseball bat is a perfectly fine home defense weapon. 

This home owner should've gotten his own bat so the two of them could take turns swinging for the fences at each other's heads. 

That would've been the fair thing to do.

Was the homeowner an ex cop or ex military? Some here will say that automatically disqualifies the “good guy with a gun”
