Ha. Asteroids was easier. Once you have one little rock floating around you can just turbo up the screen and hit the small saucer for 1,000 points and keep it going until saucer crashes into rock or you accidentally shoot it. Sometimes can do that for a very long time.

It was just a few blocks from where I grew up and was called Fooseball. I “worked” there - just giving change and counting the money. Went there instead of church. Instead of school.

Then local law prohibited it from being open during school hours so I found bars to hang out in instead.

Yup.  I used to make a profit playing asteroids at a liquor store down the street from my house.  They had one machine and I'd take one quarter and build up to like 20 ships and say to the next person waiting that I'd sell them my game for a dollar.
