The Rock N Roll Express vs. The Russians (Ivan and Nikita Koloff) was EPIC

The crowds LOVED the R&R Express.  The Russians were fukin specimens.  The only man that Ivan played 2nd fiddle to in the hairy back game was Dutch Mantell.  Dude literally had a sweater on.

Hogan, Rock, Austin, Flair

Then the tier right below them is HBK, Taker, Savage, Brett, Cena, Jericho with a bunch more debatable but that’s my top 10 opinion.

I gotta be honest, as a kid the Tag Team matches resonated more.  The ability to fight back and tag in was epic.  I'll rank them as:

1.  The Road Warriors

2. The Rock N' Roll Express

3. The Von Erichs (A&E needs to do a story on this family).

4. The Midnight Express

5. The Hart Foundation

There's a couple pretty good dvd's out there. Triumph and Tragedy. It's a WWE made video and although they usually like to rewrite history, it was actually pretty well done. The other is Hereos of World Class. This one was made by an independent document company. And was really good.

You could probably pick them up on eBay for only a couple bucks these days. It would be well worth your time.

One of the best big men ever. An amazing bump taker. Just naturally gifted for the sport. He was main eventing at the age of 19. :shocking:
