LogicalFantasy 3 Posted October 28, 2021 If you've got someone you can drop on your bench...grab Colts D now before others do next week - Don't start this week vs Titans but look at next 2 weeks: Week 9 at home - NY Jets (Worst Team (32nd) points against Def) Week 10 at home - Jacksonville (28th worst points against Def) Plus Colts are a pretty decent Defense currently ranked #5 overall
JOHN 316 7 Posted October 28, 2021 picked them up, along with Pittsburgh too....similar 2-3 weeks of potential for large weeks.
easilyscan 559 Posted October 28, 2021 Sounds like a good idea. If I didn't already have the bills, I'd do exactly that. 8 Oct 31 Mia Sun 12:00 pm *8.91 - - - - - 9 Nov 7 @Jax Sun 12:00 pm *8.95 - - - - - 10 Nov 14 @NYJ Sun 12:00 pm *8.06 - - - -
posty 2,296 Posted October 28, 2021 In a league that I used to play in, any player that you picked up off of waivers, you had to start that week... That really made things interesting...

A 'couple' of the teams wanted to charge $1.00 for every waiver wire move. They were slackers, & didn't want to put in the time to identify a good WW pick up 'before' thousands of sites come out on Tuesday morning identifying them. They wanted to punish those who were willing to put in the time. True socialists
weepaws 2,460 Posted October 28, 2021 All my leagues you pay to make moves, and I like the ideal of playing that person you pick just picked up. More strategy the better imo. I think I’ll put that on the list when we vote for changes, one change already is going to happen in my biggest money league , non ppr 14 team , to 1/2 ppr next season. Seems we have different definitions of strategy. Don't understand how making someone pay to make a WW move is considered/effects strategy ? Sounds like more of a regulation to me. Identify a player that you believe will soon break out. Grab him now, even if you don't intend to use him until 2 or 3 weeks later. I'm guessing you might've done that with Khalil Herbert earlier in the year ? That, imho, is strategy. Your last point, concerning changing a 14 team league, to 1/2 ppr, from non ppr, would definitely change the strategy during the draft & throughout the FF season. I churn my bench like you should so I usually have double the waiver moves than anyone else.

Pay for moves builds up a bigger pot of cash for the end of the season, he pay out for both H2H winner plus total points. Never been in a league that hasn’t done it that way. 2. The strategy part was about one must play the player one picks up from f/a, non of my leagues do that, but I think it’s a interesting ideal. 3. In my 14 teamer it’s been around since the mid eighties, we like to change the scoring system every now and than to change thing up. We’ve never done a 1/2 point ppr but will be doing so next season. 4. Did I miss anything ?
