I went to buy a submarine sandwich and was turned away.

There is a restaurant across the street from where I work. Sometimes, when I have time I’ll go there for lunch. Today I just wanted a submarine sandwich. I waited behind a young woman and then it was my turn (they have a takeout counter). Just as I’d just about finished saying I’d like a ham submarine sandwich with American…. The man (prominent bulge) behind the counter said very directly and with loud enunciation, “Weeee cloooooosed, craaakah!” There were  people sitting in the restaurant. I said, “…But the woman in front of me…” He quickly said, “She works here.” I apologized and left. As I was leaving 2 women walked in (they work where I work). I found another place to get a submarine sandwich. As I was returning to my building I ran into the two women who walked in behind me at the “closed” restaurant. Guess what they were both carrying? Submarine sandwiches! I said, “He served you???” They laughed and said, “Yeah, we banged him.”

As you can guess everyone in this story was female except me.
