Hell...clubs have been advertized as 10 percent longer for 40 years...we should be hitting it a mile by now.

I’m still playing the taylormade M2 the earlier of the two versions they had. 
 

i remember last year a guy I played with was telling me I had to try the Stealth… keep my shaft and I’d gain 50 yards. …. Extremely doubtful

There is a youtube channel that each year will compare the numbers of each manufacturers drivers over the last 5 seasons and every year they come up with the conclusion and that is, driver technology has been maxed out for over a decade now. You're paying $600 for a new paint job.

Having worked in golf retail long ago, this was often the case on a year to year basis but every once in a while, there is a sweeping change made and it’s worth an upgrade. 
TM m2 to Stealth I have no idea but I’d venture to guess there has been one or two significant enough improvements to warrant upgrades. 
I was pllaying a rocketballz before the M2 and I noticed a huge difference in forgiveness. But testing the M3/4/5/6 nothing worth changing.
