Dammit

a good friend of mine got married pretty late in life. In about mid-50s. She married a Really good guy. Great job, great house, widower, really good craft Brewer, exceptional handyman in just about every aspect.

They've been married probably 10 12 years now.

Just found out tonight that he had a massive stroke.

That sucks. He's on a ventilator, can apparently squeeze her hand with his right hand. But on the left side is pretty well shot right now.

If you guys are interested, Google below:

patent foramin ovale

Apparently, people can live with it their whole lives without even knowing they have it. We're all born with it. But all hell breaks loose when you have that and a stroke.

MOstly just want to share whatever I can with you guys so that you maybe might ask the right questions next time you see a doctor.

The good news is, he's at the same hospital that's dug me out of the grave several times. My cardio is about as mean as a snake, but sharp as a whip. And she offices there.

Anyway guys, get yourselves checked out. F****** strokes come out of nowhere.

patent foramen ovale (PFO) is a small hole between the 2 upper chambers of the heart, the right and the left atrium. A robotic-assisted patent foramen repair is a type of surgery to fix this hole in the heart.

Unfortunately, it does.  My birthday this year is going to be a tough one.  I will be the same age my dad was when it happened.

I'm on Plavix. If you're not yet, you might should look into it.

Aw damn it. They removed part of his skull. Which, according to Dr Google, probably indicates that there's been at least some degree of brain damage already.

Crap.

My cardiologist does not think I need to be on Plavix at this time.

Griff's burned down last night.
