Yea I broke about even thanks to showing Empire and paid for a couple long shot exacta bets. Why I always bet show on a horse I have to win.

How many of you show betters bet the money line on a big favorite?  
 

95% of the time, this is the situation.  The amount won on the favorite, on a show bet, is usually a lot of risk for very little reward.  Yes, there is 5% of all kinds of situations where my position is wrong.

Like I said in other post I don't bet on favs much but had my bet in the night before on Empire when he was 5-1 and the show did save my a$$ in the Derby.
