The Tigers won in the 10th inning today.

They got a free runner on 2nd base to start the 10th inning. He advanced to third on a sacrifice fly, then scored on another sacrifice fly.

These new rules are um... fabulous.

Technically the out that advanced the runner to third isn’t a sacrifice fly…. It is an out and counts as an at-bat…

At least they got it scored correctly that it was an unearned run: a bullsh*t baserunner scoring via a pair of routine fly ball outs. That's about the cheesiest way possible to score a run. Some poor White Sox relief pitcher picked up an "L" for this.

What a stupid ending to a nail-biter game.

Yeah that was what MLB came up with by letting the ghost runner, if they score, be an unearned run...

The ghost runner rule change is one of many stupid rules that Manfred and company has come up with in the recent years...
