Pikes peak - A race where electric vehicles are better than gas powered

Recommended Posts

Ford is attempting to break the pikes peak record, currently held by a VW electric race car. It is at such high elevation that the electric vehicles can gain an advantage even given their higher weight. It has quite a bit of downforce to give it grip. It is quite unique looking.

edit: race is this sunday. I would try to watch a bit but i think i will be fishing.

redfish/trout

I am still splitting the ownership of a boat with a friend and we are debating about selling it. We keep the boat on Clear Lake. The problem is clear lake is mediocre fishing at best. It has the occasional nice fish but nothing consistent.

I am going tomorrow night too i think unless my friend bails on me again. I have not done much nighttime fishing, but it is supposed to be better for sea trout.

Last 4th of July we took the trolly to the top of Pikes Pike.  It was about 80 degrees and sunny at the bottom.  When we got to the top it was snowing.  If that wasn’t bizarre enough, a few hours later we were in Great Sand Dunes National Park - which you have to see to believe.  On the way there we also paid a quick visit to the Garden of the Gods, another jaw dropping sight.  Best day trip of my life.

It is saltwater: seatrout, redfish, black drum, sheepshead and during October/November flounder are the gamefish we catch.
