This year I have the first pick, so would you rather: a) draft CMC at 1.01 knowing this is your last season with him, or b) trade CMC and draft Bijan at 1.01 and have him for 3 years (draft + 2 keeper years)? CMC is a guy you waste a pick on if you think he puts you over the top for a championship. it may be worth your while to see if someone wants to trade up for #1 to get him.
