Bucks don't have a first round pick until 2031 they've given away so many over the years.

True-but with Giannis, they would be drafting lower in the round as long as he's healthy. They will need good scouting to either find good developmental gems in the 2nd round or to acquire pieces from other teams that have untapped potential. I love Jrue, but in the past 2 playoffs even with his great defense he's been a negative because of his low shooting percentages. 

IMO - to keep Giannis they needed to swing for the fences and this is a big swing, and we should get 2 or 3 years to see if it works.  We'll see, I think we both are on the same page though that we want it to work.

Also, just read they only gave up first round swaps in 28 and 30.  So they still have a first round pick, just the lower pick between them and the Trailblazers. So they can get youth still, just have to scout well.

Well, that's good to hear.  I saw the "the don't control their first round pick until 2031" and said, "WTF?"

Watching him and Giannis last night was very encouraging. The entire team is going to get a ton of open looks this season.

I still would have preferred to see him in Miami (or obviously Brooklyn) and i've never really cheered for the Bucks but now I will. Dame has been my favorite player to watch since KG retired.
