It's curious. I'd say 95 percent of my posts and thread topics in the Geek Club are informational. Articles, video, analysis, legal, data, polls, stats, quotes, contextual history, etc, etc. And there are some people in this forum who can't wait to see me silenced for good. It's not enough that information is presented and just let people explore it ( or not, if they want) and let them come to their own conclusions, it has to be trying to "cancel" anyone who doesn't fit into this very tiny narrative built around woke groupthink. 

They poisoned the other thread about Israel with their backbiting and trolling, and they can't wait to do it here as well. These thread topics aren't a secret. Everyone here knows my posting style now and how I approach information release. They voluntarily enter the thread then are angry that they voluntarily entered the thread and got what's been established as to how these topics are generally handled and constructed.

Nikki Haley blasts Biden admin over $6B hostage deal with Iran in light of Hamas attack on Israel

I can't stand Mike Pence. Everything he says is political and on the edge of even being relevant to the true nature of Islam/Hamas/Palestine vs Israel. Almost everywhere in the country, the wait times are measured in years, and while they wait, they are eligible for work permits. Does anyone seriously believe that asylum seekers who are rejected will be deported? Dream on.

Former Hamas leader calls for 'Jihad' across Arab world this Friday

.....The former leader of Hamas has issued calls for Muslims across the world to "take to the streets" in a global day of protest against Israel on Friday. Khaled Mashal, who was the leader of Hamas for three years from 2014-2017 and is now based in Qatar, issued a statement to Reuters early today saying that this was a "moment of truth" for the Arab world.

He said: "[We must] head to the squares and streets of the Arab and Islamic world on Friday....“To all scholars who teach jihad … to all who teach and learn, this is a moment for the application [of jihad],”.......He also made a special plea to Muslims living in the countries surrounding Israel saying: “Tribes of Jordan, sons of Jordan, brothers and sisters of Jordan … This is a moment of truth and the borders are close to you, you all know your responsibility.....”

Mashal has been living in exile in Qatar since 2012 when he was forced out of Syria by Bashar Al Assad. He was succeeded by Ismail Haniyeh who has been the leader of Hamas since 2017.

Will County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call in Plainfield Township, Ill., late Saturday morning and found suspect Joseph Czuba sitting in front of a home near South Lincoln Highway and Lily Cache Road.  Czuba was bloodied from a cut on his forehead, and inside the home, police discovered the body of little Wadea Al-Fayoume, a Palestinian-American boy who had recently celebrated his sixth birthday. 

The boy suffered 26 stab wounds from a large military-style knife, according to the autopsy, while his mother, Hanaan Shahin, 32, survived being stabbed more than a dozen times. Czuba allegedly shouted, “You Muslims must die!” at the family ahead of the stabbing, according to text messages sent to the boy’s father. ...“Detectives were able to determine that both victims in this brutal attack were targeted by the suspect due to them being Muslim and the on-going Middle Eastern conflict involving Hamas and the Israelis,” the Will County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

CAIR-Chicago described the stabbings as the Muslim community’s “worst nightmare,” calling it part of a disturbing spike in hate crimes targeting them after Hamas’ attack on Israel and the Jewish State’s subsequent declaration of war.  The group said the landlord “had been angry with what he was seeing in the news” and went to knock on the family’s door.  When Shahin opened the door, he allegedly attempted to choke her and then went on to stab her and her boy with a knife, CAIR said.   “What we have is a murdered Palestinian child, created by the radicalization,” said CAIR president Ahmed Rehab.....He was charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, two counts of hate crimes and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon....

I actually don't agree with all of this. 

Palestine and Hamas are not the exact same thing. There is a complex geopolitical context in which Palestine does have some, IMHO, legitimate concerns and complaints about Israel. Do I think that should escalate to terrorist attacks? No. But I also don't think treating all of Palestine and all it's previous issues as a pure "monolith" lumped up with Hamas is a completely fair position. 

But what I will say is this is the product of the "cancel culture" Some people who are getting run over by the cancel culture right now over Israel/Palestine are likely some of the same folks who didn't mind cancelling others when it fit their own political agenda. 

The "cancel culture" is what some on the activist radical left wanted. Well once you let that beast out of the cage, you don't quite know where it will end up. Thus the saying "The Left Eats Itself"

Berkeley law professor asks employers not to hire 'my antisemitic law students': It’s ‘your duty’

.....University of California Berkeley law professor Steven Davidoff Solomon called out some of his students for supporting "antisemitic conduct" on campus. ....."My students are largely engaged and well-prepared, and I regularly recommend them to legal employers," Solomon wrote in an op-ed published in the Wall Street Journal Sunday. "But if you don’t want to hire people who advocate hate and practice discrimination, don’t hire some of my students. Anti-Semitic conduct is nothing new on university campuses, including here at Berkeley."

The article is titled, "Don’t Hire My Anti-Semitic Law Students." ....Solomon's criticism of antisemitism on university campuses is part of a national conversation and controversy that was sparked after some Harvard Law students were linked to anti-Israel activist groups. ....Solomon similarly slammed a student group, Berkeley’s Law Students for Justice in Palestine, for asking "other student groups to adopt a bylaw that banned supporters of Israel from speaking at events." ...."It excluded any speaker who ‘expressed and continued to hold views or host/sponsor/promote events in support of Zionism, the apartheid state of Israel, and the occupation of Palestine,'" Solomon explained, adding that 9 other student groups signed onto the measure.....

"The bylaw caused an uproar," Solomon wrote. "It was rightly criticized for creating ‘Jew-free’ zones. Our dean—a diehard liberal—admirably condemned it but said free-speech principles tied his hands. The campus groups had the legal right to pick or exclude speakers based on their views. The bylaw remains, and 11 other groups subsequently adopted it....The student conduct at Berkeley is part of the broader attitude against Jews on university campuses that made last week’s massacre possible," the law professor continued. "It is shameful and has been tolerated for too long."

"Legal employers in the recruiting process should do what Winston & Strawn did: treat these law students like the adults they are," Solomon wrote. "If a student endorses hate, dehumanization or anti-Semitism, don’t hire him. When students face consequences for their actions, they straighten up.".....He also advocated for legal employers and law firms to ask students "what organizations they belong to."......"Ask if they support discriminatory bylaws or other acts and resolutions blaming Jews and Israelis for the Hamas massacre," he said. "If a student endorses hatred, it isn’t only your right but your duty not to hire him. Do you want your clients represented by someone who condones these monstrous crimes?"
