A lot.Ā It's not been good in 2021 or 2022 or 2023 or 2024.Ā Like it or not he wasn't president in 2020 or 2019. For sure some lemmings will see this and say "that seems good". Der.Ā But it's clearly picking the only data set that works.Ā Go back to the start of the Biden administration and it's not good.Ā Ā The reasonĀ theyāre going back to 2019 is because Covid screwed up all the stats. Here is median real wages (wages adjusted for inflation):Ā https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LES1252881600Q They actually peaked in May 2020. Ā But itās misleading because the spike exactly correlates with when unemployment spiked: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/UNRATE/ And we know lower paid workers were hit hardest by unemployment at the start of the pandemic, so the āmedianā actually increased. So basically you have to compare to pre-covid for a more accurate comparison. Ā And real wages were exactly the same in Q4 2021 as they were in Q4 2019, and have mostly gone up since. Ā They did go up faster under Trump however. Ā So Trumpās economy was better which is the main reason Iām voting for him, but to the subject of the thread, Bidenās economy is not nearly as bad as many are making it out to be.
