I was thinking about taking the family to an event in Ohio or Indiana.

Had one in our hometown and it was cloudy

They are interesting.  I particularly like looking at the shadows form leaves on a tree as they are cast many times, slightly disassociated as the ring of light comes inat slightly different angles.  Very cool.  The thing is they are over quickly so traveling for one, i don't know.

Yeah 3-4 minutes at most for total eclipse. But there ain’t nothing else like being in the path of totality

Going to Austin for the weekend then heading a bit west of there for the day of.

I'm retired.  Maybe I will drive the 1000 miles and do some shrooms.  It is not as if there are huge demands on my time and road trips can be fun.
