There has always been too much made out of this. The Steelers lost the next week and the raiders most likely would have too. The dolphins were pretty strong that year.

Also, I didn't think the issue was whether Franco caught the ball(end zone camera pretty clearly shows he did), but whether it touched the defender or not.  Since if it hadn't touched Tatum it would have been an illegal catch.  I think Ed's got the wrong controversy here. 

Franco clearly caught the ball, not sure what "Bounce" Ed sees.
