RLLD 3,455 Posted April 9 Quote While there are still skill shortages in areas such as education, Stanford said, āat the same time, we need to ensure that New Zealanders are put to the front of the line for jobs where there are no skills shortages.ā Putting their own people first?Ā Oh the horror!Ā
Voltaire 4,564 Posted April 9 There's more... ------ Changes to the AEWV scheme include introducing a minimum standard of English, a new minimum skill requirement in the form of work experience or qualifications, and shortening the maximum continuous stay on an AEWV to three years. Employers will need to make sure that migrants meet these requirements before hiring them, and will be required to declare that no āsuitable and available New Zealanderā applied for a job before it is offered to a migrant. They must also advertise job postings for at least 21 days and declare āwhy any New Zealanders who applied were not hired,ā according to New Zealandās Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. -------- Nice to be an island country

I recall they had a liberal retard they put in power....and of course the policy positions were absolutely stupid, so maybe this is just people tiring of negative outcomes and going back to some simple common sense? Oh, I know.Ā It's just pointing out that ridiculousness at the direction of the Left and their followers.Ā Ā Apparently, only Bernie Sanders knows the right way to implement "Democratic Socialism".Ā Ā Bernie and his legion of followers, the younger Democrat party, profess that this is the way to go while New Zealand has proven it doesn't work.Ā YET STILL, the Democrat party still pushes to move into this direction and they have the gall to say it's the Republican's that are moving further right.Ā Amazing that the so-called "educated" party falls for the bull that their leaders are perpetrating.Ā New Zealand is pushing away from a Leftist ideology, that doesn't work. What New Zealand is doing isn't "alt-right", its simple conservatism.Ā It's smaller government control/oversight and putting merit over virtue.
