Hey Hollywood - keep your Leftist politics out of the movies

A few points.

I hated the first one. I thought it was incredibly stupid for a number of reasons. The cow in the air was just one. My expectations for this sequel were so low, the bar was in hell. I DID NOT want to pay to see it in the theater.

I thought this one looked equally as stupid; Glen Powell is in TOO many movies right now and I can't decide if he's a good actor or not. He DOES do better as the reckless lame cowboy type than the serious type. I was kind of refusing to see it because of him as well.

The preview, "WE HAVE TWINS!!!" Lame. Turned me off, thought it was dumb to put that in the movie let alone the trailer.

My expectation was also, "How are they going to loop climate change into this?" More severe storms, blah blah blah. Major turn off. I don't want to hear about an agenda.

Then hubs said, "I heard that they don't mention climate change at all."

Decided at that point, I'd see it. So, went and saw it. Good entertainment movie without an ounce of political garbage, which is what I will pay for. They had an obvious LGBTQ character or two and didn't make them make out or anything, the MFC and MMC didn't make out either, which was cool.

If I am going to pay that much money to see a movie in a theater, or even stream it at home for $30 - the fewer political views the better (from either side). I want to be entertained, not lectured or preached at.

Damn fine post right there.  Honestly, I don’t even mind if a movie has gays in it.  Just don’t show them making out.  Unless they’re hot girls, then you can show whatever you want.  Just keep the political preaching out of it.  Climate change doesn’t need to be talked about in a movie about twisters.  Sorry, it doesn’t.

I don't mind if people make out, but I just don't find it necessary.

Like this movie, Twisters. You could tell there was obvious sexual tension between the characters, but there was no innuendo or anything at all. It doesn't have to be in EVERY movie; gay or straight or otherwise.

If I really want to see people making out, I will see a romance, or watch pron. There's all kinds of pron out there if I want to watch gay pron, I know where to find it.

Same with climate change movies or documentaries. I have watched them before because I was interested...but movies for entertainment just don't NEED this stuff, IMO.

I feel the same way about concerts. I want to see you perform and sing. I don't give a fock who you are voting for.

Rural folks?  God you’re a stereotyping bigot aren’t you?  I’ve lived in big cities, suburbs, and yes - rural areas.  I’ve lived in the Liberal North and the Conservative South.  I can say without hesitation that the worst people in the world are Liberals living in urban areas.  Horrible, lousy people.

I've lived in big and small cities, tiny towns, and counties with a population density under 2 ppl/square mile; areas so sparse they're not called rural, but frontier. I’ve met plenty of people in rural areas are scared of big cities. Literally. They are convinced the cities are all crime infested hellholes full of people ready to carjack, assault, rape, or murder you. A psychologist I know told me about clients that shared overwhelming fear and anxiety about going into urban areas. It's real, and not uncommon.

Those of us that live in cities laugh at this, of course, while many city dwellers are equally fearful of "the country" because it's just full of ignorant, toothless yokels-- almost like they think Deliverance was a documentary.

All of those stereotypes suck, and hinder us from trying to understand each other. Urban liberals can certainly be miserable asswipes; same for small town conservatives. Neither has the market cornered. Reality is that there's great people in both urban and rural settings. I spend time with both, and value them all, unlike you, the guy that claims that all liberals should be put down like rabid dogs (a verbatim quote, IIRC). I have no issues with folks in rural areas, I have issues with fuksticks like you, that unironically call me a bigot then spout bigoted bullshit.

Nice platitudes about good and bad in urban and rural areas.  I don’t speak like that anymore.  I’d rather speak plainly and tell the truth.

I know all about the Left, believe me.  I was a hard-core Liberal for most of my life.  Went to a fancy Liberal Arts school, summered in Martha’s Vineyard, even talked like a Leftist dooshbag as you do.  That all changed.  I opened my eyes and realized that the Left is, at its core - selfish, dishonest, and evil.  Sorry, no other way to describe it.  You focktards have no idea how to live in a healthy, well-functioning community where people work hard, live by the rules, are dedicated to family, and believe in God.  The Left is the biggest threat to freedom and truth in the world today, and it’s not even close.  Truth.

Gotcha. It's a shame, but the world needs repellent fukwads like you to show us the evils of being a stupid bigot. Hopefully someday you'll see the light, but until then you can GFY.
