Andy Beshear becomes Hardcore Troubadour's Favorite Governor

Recommended Posts

Beshear was being interviewed on Morning Joe today and discussing abortion access and the first night of the DNC. Here is the discussion as transcribed (essentially) by Mediaite with the egregious part highlighted:

Quote

"“And some of the other examples you mentioned are very common, ectopic pregnancies, pregnancies that are non-viable. And what’s happening to women now is that instead of getting the health care they need through abortion health care, they are being left sterilized and traumatized. And these are real stories that are happening across America right now,” said host Mika Brzezinski.

“So Americans already for the most part, agree that abortion should be available, but now they’re seeing the ramifications of the overturning of Roe, which should be pretty inspiring come election day. And then on the right, governor, you have, you have Republican candidates and Republicans talking about babies being aborted at nine months. Can you even make sense of their argument?” she asked Beshear.

“It’s just fear tactics and it’s just lying to people. I mean, think about what what some people have had to go through because of these laws,” replied the governor. “I mean, JD Vance calls pregnancy resulting from rape inconvenient. Like inconvenience is traffic. I mean, it is- make him go through this!” exclaimed Beshear.

I mean, it is someone being violated, someone being harmed and then telling them that they don’t have options after that. That fails any test of decency, of humanity. But here’s the thing, it also shows they don’t have any empathy at all. And a president and a vice president has to have empathy. You got to be able to put yourself in a position that you’ve never been in to try to understand somebody else, because you’ve got to be a president and a vice president for all of America, not just where you’re from, not just for your friend group, but for all of America. And that’s why Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the right ticket, they’re the right people. I’m really excited to support them and this is one crucial reason.

This immediately made him HT's favorite governor since he has famously said this on the board to a poster: "And lowlife, sniveling little twerps here going after the father of a rape victim who only wanted answers from the people that  covered up his daughters rape for political purposes. Because they caused it. I wish it was your daughters instead of his."

Here is a friendly tip for people- don't wish rape on someone else. It doesn't matter if you disagree with them politically or not. It's pretty freaking disgusting and lowlife and you are a complete toolbag if you do something like that.

I want to award you points for not using a run of the mill slap fight play on words nickname.  But for some odd reason it feels off at the GC.  And now want to deduct you points.

No points awarded.  Play ball!

I gladly accept your decision. Tough but fair

As for the topic, I dont think we need to go there on wishin this or that.

But I get what HT and others are saying, I think we all do if we be honest.

If some progressive voting yard sign having illegal loving woman gets assaulted by an illegal....well karma is more in balance than if it happened to a conservative woman on thr outskirts of town.  Who doesnt chant for it.

Its that simple.  If there is a clear example the other way karama would be right to go that way too.  Lifes not fair and some people get lucky with what they vote for.

As I said- don't wish rape on people....it's as simple as that. I don't care what people believe- I'd never wish that on someone.

Political differences are one thing.....taking that difference to wish a physical assault on someone that causes emotional and mental stress and can last for years is a terrible thing

Yeah, that's horrible.

I do wish that Mooney would get stranded on a deserted island with Mike Tyson and bucket of lube though.

But you distinctly stop at the quote.  Its not by itself.  Hes not going wishing rape on anyone alone.  He said instead of.

I totally get it doesnt sound good.  But lets include main context.   Hes not going around wishing rape on people.

His dad was a crook and he is a crook. He's dangerous having power; if any one needs to die, it's him.
